Re: Something going on at SAS ?

So, why not a "Norske FlyBe" based in Oslo?

Re: Replacement of SN's Avro RJ and B737 fleet

I thought SSA would never make it ;) : it's been sitting in SNN for 3 months (Skyliner showed its arrival there mid-August).
Meanwhile DJZ was returned (to lesser I presume) to EGBP (Kemble) on Nov 13. It looks like the end for it. :(

Re: Replacement of SN's Avro RJ and B737 fleet

Someone posted under another topic that 1 RJ85, 1 733 and 1 734 were still in the fleet ( that is also mentioned in the SN magazines). I see on Flightradar that DJP and DJX are still flying for SN though. Also, does someone know the situation with the 2 ex-Frontier A319s SSA and SSB that have not jo...

Memmed and Co,

Luckily for you, you have the opportunity to keep your job! Any idea of what's going on in the world?

Re: Brussels Airlines' loadfactor

Encouraging figures. Specially on the JFK flights that even have a slightly higher LF than in July (I didn't see figures for August). Looks like SN's strategy of reducing offer on Europe is working. Still a long way to go though!

SFO is back from Malta; it just landed in BRU a few minutes ago as SN9902.

These are the 2 latest acquisitions; they come from Frontier but haven't joined the SN fleet yet.

And I think OO-SSA and OO-SSB that got to SNN for re-painting more than a month ago have not been delivered yet. Anyone knows the cause of the delay?

Re: Brussels airlines future and financial perspective

Given the fact that LH has stated they believe BRU hub to have more potential than what is currently used, that they, apparently, want to become, at some later stage, full owner of an improved SN, that SN (and LH) see a real possibility of expansion for long-haul flights from BRU, that such expansio...

Re: 700 jobs threatened at Brussels Airlines?

The article in Trends mentions 2 Boeing and 10 Avro. Since there are only 3 RJ85 left, could some of the RJ100 be going as well?
Very sad for the people involved, but does SN have the choice?

Re: Replacement of SN's Avro RJ and B737 fleet

OO-DJY was ferried to Southend 2 days ago "prior to return to lessor". Only 3 RJ85 left then.

BRU-NYC flights

I tried to find the right topic for this but without success: Apparently JetAirways has already discontinued its flghts to JFK since Monday (whilst maintaining the Newark ones); hence maybe the high L/F expected by SN on the JFK route for September and October. Anyway, a good opportunity for SN, eve...

Re: Porto-Brussels with Brussels Airlines in b.flex

Thank you for the report sn26567. I think I read some time ago on this forum that SSP has indeed a different configuration, inherited from a previous owner/operator, that prevents it to be used on the longest routes like Moscow and TLV. Apparently, SN deemed it too costly to re-arrange and even inte...

Re: Replacement of SN's Avro RJ and B737 fleet

No, I don't have any news :( .
It's been very quiet on this topic this month. I noticed SN got a third DASH-8 from flybe, which brings the total to 4, if I'm not mistaken. Most recent A319 acquisitions (SSA and SSB) haven't joined the fleet yet.

Anyone knows when we can expect something substantial?

Re: Air India: "Jet Airways may join Star Alliance too"

I know it's a bit hectic at times and that they have been crying for a third runway which the greens don't want, but still LHR does manage with its 2 runways and it is one of the busiest airports in Europe.

Thank you tolipanebas.

Flight consolidation, as you mention it, might mean using bigger a/cs on some of these transatlantic routes. If I remember well LH has a few A380 coming.

Re MUC and its "future" third runway, I don't quite understand why it is so badly needed whilst Heathrow can manage with 2. Am I wrong somewhere?

Re: Air India: "Jet Airways may join Star Alliance too"

And their dropping the Newark and Toronto flights could be a good opportunity for both AC and SN, although most pax on these flight start their journey in India I guess.
