Engines

Often a query has intrigued me. How do aircraft companies decide on the engines.

Engines used by the 737 are called the vaccum cleaners of the runway, i hear.

Is there any bench mark or a clear guideline in companies using a particular model/engine type to be used in the air frame.

Get a claim

I do agree completely with SN 30952 but one must understand various agencies involved into the job. If the airline is doing it then well, you get a claim or else even if the job is outsourced to a local baggage handling company, the sole responsibility still rests on the airline to give you your bag...

How does a passenger rank an airline

I have often wondered that how do people or fellow travellers rank an airline. Is it by the airline's history. Is it by the aircraft they are flying in. Is it by the food they serve. Is it by the ground crew. Is is by the cabin crew (Am not sure if the fellow traveller includes the pilots in them) I...

The F/O should be lauded

Imagine the aircraft statistics and the immense danger it posed to both the people on board and the land below. The F/O has done a great job and we are sure that most of the F/O are already being praised for their alertness. And yes for the departed soul, he left the world in the hands of an able ma...
