The load factor is also lower than European legacy carriers like BA, KL, AF and IB. And the lowest among all LH-group carriers. So improving the LF seems important regardless of the low-cost strategy. no sweat...they are getting there. And true the load factor is the lowest in the LH group but on t...

If you have more tips to save a little money I'll be glad to hear of it. :P You get what you pay for... It's the same when buying a new car. If you go to the dealership to order a VW Polo, don't expect to get a Bentley when you receive the car... and you conveniently leave out the other options (Li...

Re: Brussels Airlines' fleet renewal
OO-SSX has apparently joined the fleet. In a facebook group I saw a post from someone who heard the SSX perform the Rat-test. He checked FR24 after and it was the SSX. Secondly, it seems to me that the OO-DWI has left the fleet. He didn't perform any flights since 26/9 and was planned to leave this...

A nice addition to the fleet! Potentiel next additions to the brussels airlines fleet : . Airbus A319 ex-Frontier as OO-SSO? or . Airbus A330(-200) ex-Swiss & ex-Hedelweiss Air as OO-SFT? not potential but will be added for sure... The two? Three in total, two A319 (OO-SSX and OO-SSO) and one A...

Re: Brussels Airlines future and financial perspective
Earlier this week, Brussels Airlines threw a party for all their employees, to thank everyone for their hard work during the busy summer holidays and to celebrate the new destination, Mumbai. The CEO said in his speech, among other things, that the ambition is to carry 10 million guests in 2018! Wo...

Hi, I assume they made a little error, so lets wait ... [Also DLA would become 9/w!]. Unless they intensify the use of their planes this is impossible ... Re: Brussels Airlines' fleet renewal
One of problems with the A350 it's that its to big... No it is not too big but the range is too long for the destinations that SN is serving 'right now'. My guess is a nice chunk of Singapore Airlines' A330 fleet will be finding its way to SN in a few years. then according to your reasoning the 10t...

Re: Swiss CS100 MAN-ZRH in J with bonus go around! (with photos, full length video)
Great report. I didn't look yet at the full-length video, but what I could see impressed me. I am surprised that the plane didn't dock at a jet bridge in Manchester. Afraid to dent a new aircraft? Most gates of T1 in MAN have no jet bridges..as you can see in the video. Those who think that BRU is ...

Re: "Eurowings Europe" on track to start in March 2016
The defensiveness on this forum is on the verge of ridiculousness. If I see the measures that are being taken by the biggest airline group in europe to "batten down the hatches" for what is to come .... I hope SN management has a more cautious approach to the matter  Are you denying...

Re: "Eurowings Europe" on track to start in March 2016
Let me remind you and your alter ego that the oil prices were VERY high and strangly enough SN is still there, growing and attracting more and more passengers. And before you make dumb comments about state aid, be sure you get your facts straight. But it is true. If SN would conclude dodgy contract...
