Re: Jetairfly seat pitch
I do have to say economy sevice (only service) in JAF is more value to me then SN Bflex. Bflex I always got a tiny snack, 1 soft and a hot drink...JAF a meal, hot drinks, several soft drinks and they pass most of the times with extra water Euh, JAF is a no service charter airline, unless you book a...

Re: Jetairfly seat pitch
Now., just with FR and JAF, you get what you pay for.. And in comparison with bFlex sometimes you don't get it .. ( small snack haha on less than 2 hours flights..) Actually when I fly medium haul or inside Europe I often fly with BA instead of JAF because they were cheaper most of the times. Maybe...

Re: 14 jobs lost at Thomas Cook Airlines Belgium
Sad, sad news for those involved and sad news for Belgian aviation... Especially cause now we need to endure german service every time we fly long haul with FQ, shame :-/ Which is sold as direct flights from Brussels to...but via Germany Unfortunately the Belgian market is small (tiny) and hard....s...

Re: Jetairfly goes Embraer
Sean1982, even though I can understand your emotions and appreciate your posts don't you think it would be better to start a separate topic about let's say the policy of Belgian or European airlines and their selection and career opportunities: the pro's and con's. The bad and/or good things of thei...

Re: Jetairfly to Phuket to Brussels via BKK
I agree, It's more of a perception issue. In the summer it's just harder to find a replacement as well for JAF as for TC. Can we therefor conclude that TC is badly organized and don't have the means for medium-haul if they don't find a replacement in a few hours. Offcourse if it would be my flight I...

Re: Jetairfly goes Embraer
Jetairfly has ordered 2 Embraer 195, seating 112 passengers, which should be joining the fleet in February and March 2013. The E 195 has a capacity of 108-125 according to Embraer's website, so with only 112 seats, seatpitch would be bigger than on their Boeings? Or am I mistaken? In 2013, Jetairfl...

Re: 1st 787 Dreamliner @ Brussels: When? Which airline?
Chances are we'll see a lot of 787's at BRU in the future. :P The new JAF building will consist of a so called 'Goldcare competence center' meaning they will do the maintenance of all 14 B787's of the TUI Group and they can do the maintenance of B787 of other airlines according to Bru Airport Blog (...

Re: Antwerp Airport: longer runway?
So,if full use can be made of the 1510m runway, what does this mean? Would it allow e.g a fully loaded RJ100/RJ85/EMB190/EMB175/ATR72 to do a ANR-Barcelona ? or ANR-Milano? or ANR-Alicant/Malaga? Exactly what I would like to know ;) What does Bart De Wever think about the Antwerp airport ? He might ...

Re: Antwerp Airport longer runway?
Thanks for the info dc-6b So, If I understand you correctly, as I'm not a specialist  they are just going to add the so called RESA? of 150 m or more? But then the runway will be 1510m because it can be used over the full length. Which is as long as the runway of LCY...so this will allow small...

Re: Antwerp Airport longer runway?
Indeed I read sth about 2000m, but then I saw another website that stated it would never become 2000m because of the old fort standing in its way. I was just wondering because last year I saw several Embraers 190 (BA Cityflyer) in LCY and wondered if it would be possible to fly from/to ANR with smal...

Antwerp Airport: longer runway?
Hi, I have question End of this year they will start with the construction works for the tunneling of the R11/Krijgsbaan at Antwerp Airport to make it possible to make the runway longer as required by ICAO. How much longer will the runway be? Will it just be a 'safety strip' or will it be possible f...

Re: TCA/TUI long haul contract is not extended
Smells like time for a whole new Jetairfly livery as the new Thomson one for JAP and TUC.. :D Happy to see this end, such anonymous livery never again. Am I the only one who likes the OO-JAP and -TUC livery more than the future one of TUI? :D The current one is 'classier' imo. Now all JAF flights b...

Re: TUI announces new livery
BTW what about Thomas Cook and the long-haul flights on the JAF planes? JAF repainted the 767-fleet and removed the 'Jetairfly' titles to have a more "neutral" livery for T.C. Can't imagine they would be happy when the long haul planes have exactly the same livery as the rest of the JAF fl...

Re: TUI announces new livery
(...) btw, 7 abreast for the 767 is regular, just like 8 is regular in the 787. What's Thomson's configuration in the 767's? Also 7 abreast of 8? If it's just 7, JAF will probably also get 9 abreast on the 787. Let's hope they'll introduce personal in-flight screens in the seat in economy as on Tho...

Re: TUI announces new livery
JAF have only 7 abreast and a total of 257 seats and Thomson a total of 290 seats on the 767... (according to wikipedia)Bralo20 wrote:JAF's 763's are also configured with a high density layout as they have a 8 abreast seating so I think there won't be much difference between Thomsons and JAF's 788's

The interior looks like a 3-3-3 configuration, but I can't imagine JAF will adopt this config as JAF's 767 also have much less seats then Thomson 767's ?!

Coirsairfly is keeping the old livery as their focus is on scheduled flights... Jetairfly announced in the beginning of this month that all their flights are from now on scheduled flights. https://www.aviation24.be/forums/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=47126 So, it's not completely clear for me...will JAF ...

;) Did the same flight almost a month ago and had quit the same experience... All OK (not great, but just ok) and indeed on the returnflight the transfer at Mumbai for the flight to BRU was sheer madness...Chaos, rude securitystaff shouting, lots of people in a small corridor...It took two hours And...

Re: JAF turns into scheduled airline + expansion
I'm not at all an expert, but most of their flights are 'point to point' flights. They don't aim, on most destinations, on connecting passengers I think. Connecting pax are for typical destinations as AMS, JFK, FRA, CDG, which they don't fly to as they are already covered by lots of other airlines (...
