Some new destinations are coming for THY from Istanbul Ataturk Airport (IST):

Samarkand-Uzbekistan
Aqaba-Jordan
Krasnodar-Russian Federation
Freetown-Sierra Leone
Moroni-Comoros (The THY Board told the media their intention to fly Moroni only last Friday)

There are some news in Turkish aviation media today that the chairman of THY will sign a purchase agreement with Airbus company for 25 of A350 in presence of French and Turkish Presidents during the Turkish President's visit to France.

THY has recently ordered 40 of B787-9 from Boeing company.

There are media reports in Turkish press today that Wizz Air is buying 49% of shares of Bora Jet in Turkey. Turkey is about to enter 10 day holiday period and THY is expecting to break a record today: 1545 flights and quarter million pax only today will be flying with THY. They are urging pax to arrive at least 2-3 hours early.

THY Crew Training team has trained 77 RwandAir crew for A330 services as part of refreshment course. Back in March another team has trained 51 crew member.

They are improving their network in domestic market.

Turkish Cargo has been active lately with new destination launches:

PGS is starting some new destinations:

Istanbul Sabiha Gokcen (SAW)- Sinop (Turkey) from 10.August.2017

THY's name was mentioned in Italian media that they were among the companies interested in ALITALIA. The CEO of THY told the local media today that the THY has no interest in buying ALITALIA.

PGS has announced 8 new domestic destinations from Ankara Esenboga Airport (ESB) from next month:

Trabzon, Antalya, Adana, Van, Gaziantep, Erzurum, Diyarbakir, Balikesir-Edremit.

PGS CEO Mr. Nane has added that they have more destinations in planning pending gaining the necessary permits.

Pegasus starting some new destinations from Sabiha Gokcen Airport (SAW):

Grozny, Samara, Nizhny Novgorod, Volgograd (Russian Federation)
Abu Dhabi (UAE)
Kastamonu (Turkey)
Erivan (Armenia)

THY has announced more seasonal flights today:

Antalya-Sulaymaniyah (Iraq) twice a week flights will start on 15.6.17.

Trabzon-Yanbu (Saudi Arabia) once a week flights will start on 22.6.17.

THY is starting seasonal destinations this year:

Trabzon-El Kassim (Saudi Arabia) twice a week flights will start on 21.June.2017.

Antalya-Amman (Jordan) twice a week flights will start on 16.June.2017.
