Re: Prime minister David Cameron chooses FR
The world is changing.. prime minister of the UK travelled to Lanzarote with his wife Samantha on Ryanair ! Don't see Hollande nor Merkel doing the same... Nor our own king ! On two occasions I saw Prince Philippe and Princess Mathilde, as well as Princess Mathilde and Princess Elisabeth on Brussel...

Re: VLM brand to be revitalized?
Sorry to disagree, Flanker. I flew DAT's EMB120 on several occasions when sabena still existed. If my memory serves me right, they mainly operated feeder flights for sabena. I can remember it was a very uncomfortable plane. So, please, no EMB120.

Re: Emirates quitting Conakry
Are you sure that Emirates and Corsair code-share ? On which routes ? Corsair flies from/to Orly, EY to/from CDG. I don't get it, but perhaps you can shed some light on this for me. Thanks.

Re: Emirates quitting Conakry
I mentioned AT Apologies. Missed that. I flew a couple weeks ago BRU to IST via SVO and also MAN to BRU via ARN so I'm not normal I would not go as far as you (saying you're not normal) : you either especially like flying or want to save money even if it means longer travel. Nothing wrong or abnorm...

Re: Emirates quitting Conakry
And imho, b.air's main competitors to WESTERN Africa are not TK or EY, but RAM, Vueling, TAP and Iberia.
Strange nobody ever mentions them.

Much better (DB) than LH ! Too bad the service operates three times a day only, but good time Sschedule. captains earning up to 13.000EUR per month and now demanding more and better? Captains, right ? Probably senior captains, to be complete. Not junior FOs. I don't think LH pilots want to earn more...

Sorry again, but couldn't help reacting : I agree with you Teach. And I'd go one step further : leaving a company because you don't like its working conditions or pay and not wanting to fight, to me, is a sign of weakness (and perhaps cowardness). This is my last contribution to this thread, because ...

but there's a big difference, employers pay the workers and not vice versa You must have the same genes as Didier Bellens and Johnny Thijs. Take a look at living conditions in other parts of the world. We are spoiled in some way. And maybe you didn't notice it but if you watch some news reports you here it time and time again: 'wages cost too much', 'Productivity has to go up', 'work longer'. OK, we're still privileged, but for how low...

Re: Lufthansa pilots announce strike
We've had this discussion before. I'm self-employed and have no problems with strikes if they are in conformity with the law (in other words, no wild-cat strikes). Striking is a fundamental right in democratic countries. Those who are so vehemently against it have the right to move to a country wher...

in Africa where they will lose millions against TK. This is probably a"guts" feeling you have (unless you have date to support your statement), but which, I think, you are entitled to express to keep the forum going, and as many of us do (since we don't have any "hard" figures)....

So another free media campaign it is. Of course. Why don't the media ask him to pay for the press coverage ? Like : If you want us to relay your nonsense, it will cost your this much, Mr MOL ! Just like MOL says : if you want us to continue to operate at your airport, it will costs you this much......

Re: Are GRU / GIG a major opportunity for SN and BRU ?
The Brazilian economy is not doing good According to the sources you quote, GDP growth in Brazil for 2014 is expected at 2.5 % (1.2 % for euro zone countries). Economic growth figures for Brazil in the past years were at a level that couldn't be sustained for very long. Figures for 2013/2014 are st...

OK. And when summer is over, which business destinations will see an increase in frequency ? I presume b.air will not return the planes to the lessor for the winter or send them to hibernate in the dry deserts of Arizona or California ?
