Re: VLM Airlines news 2017
Oostende-Amsterdam and Antwerp-Rotterdam? What a joke! OST-AMS-OST might make some sense as an in-house feeder for their long haul flights. And ANR-RTM point-to-point would really be a joke unless they target RTM customers to go via ANR. My estimate is that RTM-ANR will not be viable even as a feed...

Re: Plane spotters asked to help reporting suspicious activity around Brussels Airport
This is certainly a smart idea although not really a new idea.
In München (MUC) this is done for many years already.
Belgian Police should get in touch with Police at MUC airport regarding their experience with Spotters as "vigilant observers".

Re: VLM Airlines news 2017
I am deeply concerned whether this venture will ever come into operation. Couldn´t help but chuckle when I saw the photo of a MRJ in relation to "Service Aircraft Center" (what a crazy grammar mistake btw.). It does not really help with their credibility by advertising through referring to...

Re: VLM Airlines news 2016
My experience tells me those managements/companies that are generally quiet and very cautious in releasing infos to the public are usually those that survive the set up process and make it into actual operations. So, I´m still optimistic VLM 2 will become operational eventually. Let´s just be patient.

Re: Airlines that flew from BRU
The flight Brussel Berlin Tegel did exist in the 90's. It was a connecting with 5 th freedom rights. First there was the leg JFK-BRU and then BRU-TXL I was on one of these flights. See a video on the link below on Youtube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cEYMXk4-YDI TW indeed served BRU from TXL alb...

Re: Airlines that flew from BRU
I remember (until back in the early 80´s): Scottish European to GLA flying HS-748 (in fact they flew GLA-BRU-FRA-BRU-GLA). Birmingham Executive to BHX with Gulfstream G-I or Jetstream-31 Tower Air to JFK with B-747 Nationair with DC-8 to YUL EuroBelgian with B-733 to various destinations as the firs...

Re: Repositioning of BRU operations to other airports after attacks
At LGG (and SN on a wider scale) I think they are very happy to have the "new" Terminal which can handle significantly more Passengers than the old one. Imagine this whole operation would have to be handled in the old terminal ... Only one thing makes me wonder: why are there only a few JA...

Re: 2015 Liège Airport (LGG/EBLG) latest news
It is possible to to connect via MUC to BKK but not with LH as they serve BKK ex FRA only ... MUC-BKK non-stop is served by TG only. So, usefulness will depend on whether TG will offer through fares via MUC. Timings do work out although with some waiting time in MUC both ways. LGG-MUC-BKK ~2.5hrs la...

Re: 2015 Liège Airport (LGG/EBLG) latest news
let's hope it will be fixed or it will remains unused by most people... It certainly will because listing in the CRS´s takes a while. And even if fares start to appear in CRS it does not mean that all fares will be availlable from the start. Usually the highest fares/booking classes are loaded firs...

Yep, I like Malaysia and in particular Air Asia.sn26567 wrote:Wow! Many flights on Malaysia!
They really offer good value for money - much better than Ryanair ...
I had also planned to fly Berjaya Air Dash-7 but Berjaya Air has stopped all scheduled ops.

Well, I guess 2015 will be much "quieter" than 2014 ... For now I only booked this: 07/02/15 FRA - BHX LH952 B733 08/02/15 BHX - FRA LH957 A320 09/05/15 FRA - TXL AB6580 A319 09/05/15 TXL - STR AB6553 Dash8-400 FRA-TXL-STR was the best use for 15000 Miles (ow all-in) as a good part of them...

Re: 2015 Liège Airport (LGG/EBLG) latest news
Still, I find those flights to MUC somewhat odd in that they will cannibalize the BRU flights to a certain degree. And ... at LGG there´s no "regional competitor" to be driven out of the market ... LGG´s local PTP market for MUC is way too small to justify these flights. The only re...

By the way: If Stijn will not inform us by himself about the progress/outcome, I think I will even forget about it quickly - as most consumers do. That´s the usual way it goes ... Just in this case it would leave the bitter taste behind in the public . I´m also curious on the outcome. Not so much a...
