Re: Reopening Brussels Airport after the 22/03/2016 terror attacks
Last friday, I passed security at bus station level and I did NOT need to go through the screening. There were +/- 30 people waiting at the screening, so the police let everyone enter the building with no check. So it is not so that everyone is checked always. Maybe the procedure must be explained a...

Re: Reopening Brussels Airport after the 22/03/2016 terror attacks
The entrance to the diamond at the bus station is open again since this morning for everyone (previously only exit, entry only for badge holders). Like the other entrances there is a pre-check. It took quite some time because they immediately worked on a 'permanent' construction at this location. I...

Re: BRU infrastructure: future
I'm already pleased that tents will be removed and that there will be an INSIDE structure for the precheck. Thus no more waiting in the outside (although there is not that much waiting anymore). And if wit a descent structure and max 5 minutes waiting (in case of check), I don't think people will co...

Re: Reopening Brussels Airport after the 22/03/2016 terror attacks
In 'Het Laatste Nieuws' of today it was stated that theire is now also a precheck on arrival level. A quick translation of the important part: the necessary equipment and infrastructure on arrivel level has been installed to ensure a precheck by the police. This check is not for departing passengers...

As stated on their website: It is allowed again to accompany passengers into the departures hall. However, just like passengers, you will first have to go through a pre-screening in the pre-check structures in front of the departures hall. http://www.brusselsairport.be/en/passngr/to_from_brussels_ai...

Re: Reopening Brussels Airport after the 22/03/2016 terror attacks
Personally I never had problems with the elevators, there are like 10 or 12 in a row? There are indeed a lot of elevators, but when went to BRU in june, I used the discount parking and took the bus. I was very fast on the departure level (we took an elevator from the bus station, and were obliged t...

Re: Reopening Brussels Airport after the 22/03/2016 terror attacks
Seems strange to me, in charleroi, they are adding a pre-check as from mid-july http://www.hln.be/hln/nl/957/Binnenland/article/detail/2780194/2016/06/30/Luchthaven-van-Charleroi-krijgt-nieuwe-veiligheidszone.dhtml Why add them in Charleroi and remove them in Zaventem? But if so, this is only good n...

Discount parking 1: which bus?
Hello, My wife and I are going on holiday next week and we would like to use Discount Parking 1 (as this is the cheapest parking). On the website of the parking, it is stated that a bus from 'De Lijn' is passing by each 15 minutes, but nowhere is stated which bus lines we can take from the parking t...

And meanwhile: http://www.bnr.nl/nieuws/mobiliteit/396599-1605/schiphol-en-eindhoven-profiteren-van-chaos-zaventem sounds only logic to me. Airport was still closed some days in April. And for a whole time only at 60% of capacity. Travellers need to depart from somewhere. I don't expect this to go ...

In BRU from what we're hearing you DO need those three hours, and you'll be spending the majority of that standing in line, queueing to get into the damn building, We also heard stories of people only needed 1h to get through. My wife neede 1,5h on a sunday evening. Far away from 3h needed. As far ...

It seems to me that there are far mote waiting queues during the weekend. On a worrday, we hear that 1hour is feasable, during the we, a lot more is needed.
Is this just a feeling or van this be confirmed?
