Re: Brussels Airlines in 2018

I am surprised nobody noticed the engine flame-out on the A330, after restarting the engine, the second engine failed during approach BRU. Suspecting fuel contamination in Kinshasa Airport. IMO this could have gone a lot worse! https://www.aviation24.be/airlines/lufthansa-group/brussels-airlines/a-b...

Re: Brussels Airlines in 2018

Correct, I also strongly doubt the point-to-point concept for Brussels Airlines that Eurowings wants to impose. The lack of news only confirms that management has doubts on the future way to go.

Re: 25-31/10/2018 Aviapartner strike at Brussels Airport

Reasonable thoughts Passenger, but an employee who has to skip his lunch or who has to work with old and defective material. Has to load an aircraft without the minimum agreed loaders, where his grieves were already known at least from January 2018 thinks differently. I am not endorsing the strike, ...

Re: Brussels Airlines in 2018

Re: The CityJet Sukhoi SSJ100-95 saga is hurting Brussels Airlines

According to a pilot familiar with the aircraft, the Sukhoi has currently a very tight MEL. The slightest issue is already reason for AOG. A minimum equipment list (MEL) is a list which provides for the operation of aircraft, subject to specified conditions, with particular equipment inoperative (wh...

Re: Brussels Airlines in 2018

On the 19th of May EI-FWD broke down at Zadar Airport and was ferried to its base in Venice six days later. The aircraft seems to be in repair until the 18th of June, ferried back to Brussels to operate SN2049 to Birmingham (18/06/2018) and has now been grounded at Birmingham since then.

Re: Brussels Airlines in 2018

Flying more passengers than ever, most of the staff and crew working their butt off. Restructuring, cutting costs, race to the bottom, etc.. hardly any profit.

And now a nice negative article by the big boss.

This must be very frustrating for staff and crew.

Re: Brussels Airlines in 2018

When is Brussels Airlines going to do something on their hand-luggage issues? The boardings are slowed down by the many carry-ons, all day long.
