Re: Maastricht Airlines 2013

Funny development, reported by local tv station L1.nl: The Province of Limburg had given them already 211.000 Euro from the 235.000 Euro that was promised. From the 211.000 Euro already given, 65.000 Euro was meant "for the creation of jobs". Because this promise was not kept, the Province...

Re: Integration of Jet4you into Jetairfly

Unfortunately, this incorporation has a price tag: Jetairfly had to write off a one-time 29.147.305 Euro in their books for Jet4you.

This pushed the result for 2012 into red (-15,5 mio), but owns assets still are a solid +10,3 mio.

Turnover 2012 was 411 mio.

Re: Belgocontrol in serious difficulties, 1000 jobs in limbo

The issue (funding of Belgocontrol) has been discussed shortly in the Belgian Parliament last Thursday. Wathelet - Secretary of State for Transport said that all regional airports and Brussels Airport will have to pay more, but that it's impossible to attend the funding problem right now for politic...

Re: Belgocontrol in serious difficulties, 1000 jobs in limbo

Allow me to disagree with initial statement by the president and the CEO in Trends/Tendances/Knack which is mentioned in the first post in this topic. Both gentlemen announced “bankruptcy if the Belgian government wouldn’t urgently invest”. This is not true. I’ve checked their annual account 2011 (b...

Re: Abnormalities in BRU-ANR-CRL-LGG-OST in 2013

Not an "abnormality", although there could be "an abnormal quantity of soccer fans" at the departure hall, so after all it's on topic: on Thursday 23th May at 10h25, the Red Devils take SN 501 to JFK, for a week of training and matches. They're flying C off course, and what's spe...

Re: Jet Airways out of Brussels?

As for all these day dreams, SN cannot even efficiently fly it's current schedule at the moment .... Let alone expand left, right and center. The traffic will be gone soon, the expansion will take years, so BRU loses out. Normal reaction from someone working for the competition. agree that this is ...

Wasn't that what I said a long time ago? The BAe146 engines are not suited for hot & high operations as they are too heat-sensitive. Quote from the article: "...Nous avons démarré notre activité avec 1 avion Boeing 737-300 et 2 British Aerospace 146 qui ont depuis été retournés à leur prop...

Don't worry... Allow me to quote myself again: One MP said this yesterday: "...Ik wil erop wijzen dat het Europees Parlement op 18 april 2013 een nieuwe verordening heeft goedgekeurd waardoor men in de grote luchthavens met meer dan 15.000 passagiers per jaar van twee naar drie bagageafhandelaa...
