Re: Introduction of Brussels Airlines' fifth Belgian Icon OO-SND: Aerosmurf #SNSmurfs
Why did they not follow the original drawing? Somebody know? My best guess would be to have a white nosecoin. As they had a lot of issues with the parking guidance on the other belgian icons. I don't think they went far from the original design on the left side at all. They put Smurfette in the dri...

It also states: "The Lufthansa Group is driving forward the standardisation of its Airbus A320 fleet: Austrian Airlines, Brussels Airlines, Eurowings, Lufthansa and SWISS are developing a standard specification for the Airbus A320 fleet. At the same time, the airline brands will be preserved by...

Re: Pegasus Airlines off the runway at Trabzon; Boeing 737-82R registered TC-CPF
Damage to the belly doesn't seem to bee too bad. I anticipated worse... But pictures do not show enough detail to see wrinkling and or buckling of the fuselage. That will help indicate how far of it will be from a hull loss. Though the right gear and pylon being ripped off, are not a good sign. But ...

Re: Pegasus Airlines off the runway at Trabzon; Boeing 737-82R registered TC-CPF
Yes indeed, looking more and more like a write-off. According to wikipedia, one engine broke off to drop into the water - a severe loss, economically. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pegasus_Airlines_Flight_8622 - but that article has been nominated for deletion. There's indeed an engine broken off, ...

Re: Brussels Airlines' fleet renewal
Please always read carefull what is written ;) I my original post (which came from Airliners.net) it was not said that the first 'new' A330 would enter in service early 2018, but that they would arrive in BRU in January, March 2018 .... In any case they would need new interiors, etc. So entrance in...

Re: KL vs. SN
Years ago KLM had a tv commercial where they claimed to be the first airline in the world. Whether that is true or not, I don't know, but they may very well be the oldest airline in existence today...

Re: Brussels Airlines in 2017
The lack of expansion in the US is not only bad for Brussels Airlines... its bad for Brussels Airport and its bad for Belgium.... Take the example where I live here in Boston. If I take the Top 25 airports in Europe we have service to all but Russia and Brussels.... Brussels as the Capital of Europ...

Re: Brussels Airlines in 2017
What does it matter? Brussels Airlines is LH Group, no? What is your point? Yes, money is shoved around, but in the end SN ends up with more of it. That is ok in my book. It is better than being bailed out like a couple of years ago. But in the end, the passengers have to pay for it. And if there a...

Re: Brussels Airlines in 2017
But I guess that's still to be discussed. And I don't know the influence LH has on the price negotiations between SN and EW for the ACMI-contract. Worst case: if SN is forced into a bad deal, it can negatively affect the other SN operations as well. But if it's a fair contract, it's indeed positive...

Re: Brussels Airlines in 2017
But where is the revenue for SN?? SN will have the costs as ACMI but the sales of the tickets will be completely for Eurowings :? SN has to deliver the crew and costs regarding planes etc but what is the financial benefit? The revenue is quite obvious... Since it is ACMI, SN will get a fixed negoci...

Re: The integration of Thomas Cook Airlines Belgium into SN
Any idea about Belgian Icon, on which aircraft it will be ? Since the Thomas Cook aircraft will have to be repainted anyway, the smart solution would be to put the Smurfs livery on one of them. But this is probably too smart :? Not too smart,... but too soon. The Smurfs in on the calender for early...
