Interesting to see such late departures to USA.
A little useless for me (using East coast to connect to West coast) but could be for other passengers.

A long interview of Count Davignon in the Belgian edition of Paris Match, worth reading every word: ... - Whatever is being said, Eurowings evolves towards a hybrid model like the SN model, and not the opposite. My opinion on this 'Count' is ... but let's hope that for once he is right and that the...

I must admit that creating a real TWR and having custom/immigration to Schengen is a FEAT !

Re: Connecting in IST with TK flight to US...
Not an answer to your question, but why would one backtrack 4 hours to fly to the USA via Istanbul ? Much much cheaper for a flight booked on short-term... And a connection/stop in USA (ORD, IAD, JFK, EWR) is always 'risky' due to immigration queue... So, getting a non-stop flight from 'Europe/Turk...

Connecting in IST with TK flight to US...
(possibly not the right forum to ask -- sorry) Did anyone recently experiment a short 1-hour connection at IST coming from BRU on Turkish then going to USA also on Turkish? I did it twice years ago without any issue but now I keep hearing stories about being forced to clear immigration & custom ...

Re: Brussels Airlines in 2018
Have the people at LH said that there is no place for a belgian based premium carrier, and why can they operate premium carriers in ZRH and VIE, and not possible in the capital of the EU, strange, no ? Beside the language shared by LH, OS and LX (and possibly mentality and having more than 1 SN dom...

What happens when the new CEO is the ex German marketing leader? You post on Facebook some b*s* such as "We will remain Belgium's home airline and we'll continue to grow. Together with Eurowings, we'll shape the European airline industry." I am Star Alliance Gold for 15 years, and the wors...

Re: Any experiences of flying on Swiss via ZRH?
Indeed, Swiss & ZRH are easy to go through. Also a catering in the plane which is not too bad. Just beware that the flight is not operated by Edelweiss (good meals but quite crowded and no web check-in quite often). Also, the Swiss Star Alliance Lounge is going under 'upgrade' so we are rerouted...

The best part of Polaris is the Polaris lounge in Chicago though
Else, it is an upgrade food / comfort when compared to previous C-class of UA.

This might be a stupid question, but does the laptop ban also count for US carriers ? No stupid questions, only naive answers :-) The article did not mention anything about the carrier but I understood it as all carriers (and then good luck to do it from a US airport where all gates are after secur...
