Re: The CityJet Sukhoi SSJ100-95 saga is hurting Brussels Airlines

I can understand that the company is looking for a more reliable plane on the lower end of aircraft sizes. On the other hand, the change from the SSJ to CRJ will be dreadful for passengers: crampy cabin, no space for hand luggage, no boarding via jetbridge... because apart from the somewhat higher n...

Re: BRU 20/10/2018

Pardon me for asking, but is the Air India 744 still at BRU? I got confused in the "big exodus" of governmental aircraft yesterday... and FR shows DEL-BRU as its most recent flight.

Also, is the Il-96 expected to leave again today or is it expected to stay longer?

Not that I would not understand it, but is this forum not more or less in English - apart from the specifically Nederlands-Francais-Deutsch part?

Re: Austrian Airlines news in 2018

Austrian to continue Tokyo flights in summer 2019 Austrian Airlines announced that the VIE-NRT flights will be continued in the summer schedule 2019. Five weekly flights are planned. This comes as a pleasant surprise for those who prefer flying with the Austrian flag carrier, as it was announced so...

Re: BRU 18-19/10/2018 ASEM summit - heads of state or governments of 51 European and Asian countries

Yes, I know that not even all the heads of states arrived (KE 747 should come in from LIRF), but are there already any preliminary times for departure? Would be lovely if they all (at least the Asians) stayed until Saturday, when 25R/07L is closed down... ;)

Re: BRU 18-19/10/2018 ASEM summit - heads of state or governments of 51 European and Asian countries

Any idea on when the two Japanese 747s arrive ? Thanks Kind regards, Laurent 18 okt om 1620. Any idea where they will be parked and if so which RWY would be the most logical? After the Vietnam B789 meant to park at EBMB landed on 25R, it seems there is sometimes a weird logic behind those landings....

Maybe because you demand BRU service to and from shitty rural airfields, when globally compared? :P

Re: The CityJet Sukhoi SSJ100-95 saga is hurting Brussels Airlines

According to a pilot, a lack of MEL (minimum equipment list) forces the pilots to not fly. Other aircraft types have a better MEL in case one or few instruments/items are not working. Interesting, thank you for that information. To my knowledge so far, it was "lack of spare parts". This i...

Re: Air Belgium in 2018

The airline exists, the CI exists and I guess they still have not abandoned hope to fly scheduled flights and not rely entirely on ACMI and therefore - plus considering the costs of a rebranding etc. - it would be preposterious to already put the aircraft back into hangars for the rebranding, inste...

Re: The CityJet Sukhoi SSJ100-95 saga is hurting Brussels Airlines

Why not? It seems to be a good aircraft, but It's new and, as any new machine, it's having its teething trouble. I read on this forum that the russian manufacturer is slow in supplying the needed spare parts but I assume Cityjet has now collected enough data/arguments to put the adequate amount of ...

Re: BRU 27/09/2018 Air Belgium for TUIfly

Still in BRU for now, no outbound flightplan loaded. I'm not sure if it was OO-ABD that I saw yesterday evening parked on the apron next to the plot where the torn-down-DHL-building used to stand... that one had the cowls of engine No. 1 open. I'm not sure if it was routine maintenance or something...
