Re: Brussels Airlines in 2023
Are the differences between the different rows 'on purpose'? I guess the reasoning is that the first rows are business anyway, but not always and certainly not 9 rows. Then the fact that for the remaining seats there is again a difference is bit weird, no? The rows behing the business is the so cal...

Re: Brussels Airlines in 2023
As an aviation enthousiast I share this frustration, but once again, Brussels Airlines is a privately own company, the only and sole objectif is to please the shareholder, not us.

Re: Brussels Airlines in 2023
O/D to overseas territories on which AF/KL now have a (near)monopoly? For long haul the plan is cristal clear, the focus is on Africa with connecting pax from Europe with SN metal and North America with SN metal for JFK and the rest with United and Air Canada. Africa is the main focus indeed with a...

Re: Brussels Airlines in 2023
To be honnest, I think that a brussels airlines story would be very different from the air belgium one as it would not be limited to point 2 point but the routes could as well benefits from the extensive network of SN in France and other station. I do think that SN could be profitable on those route...

Re: Brussels Airlines in 2023
What a lack of ambition from SN and/or LH. BRU and SN could easily take away market-share and PAX from AMS and CDG. And how would they accomplish that easily? Leisure travelers are first and foremost price sensitive. Business travelers focus on frequencies, preferably daily if not more often than t...

Re: Brussels Airlines' fleet renewal
Just wondering why SN get the -251 series of engines and all the others LH/LX/OS the -271 series of engines on the NEO Beacuse Lufthansa is upset with their current GTF P&W engines issues, and haven't been compensated accordingly. Hence, the next 30 A320neo and next A321neo of Lufthansa will be...

Re: Brussels Airlines' fleet renewal
I notice future OO-SBB is all white. Will it become another Star Alliance, a new Belgian Icon or just delayed in painting for one reason or another? Remarkable since future OO-SBC is painted in the regular livery. I questionning myself as well. But let's remember some Austrian Airlines aircraft arr...

Re: Brussels Airlines' fleet renewal
Well, i suppose 330 No 11-13 are a plan, but no official commitment yet. Indeed it's the plan. With 320 class, i am not so sure. We've seen an extra 319 coming so this may be also an intermediate way, regardless of the all 320fleet plan. Austrian was getting rid of their A319, one of them went to S...

Re: Brussels Airlines' fleet renewal
I don't know anything about any extention of A319 contract. The project is and has always been replacing the A319 with A320neo. We can expect to see 4 other A319 leaving replaced by OO-SBB; OO-SBC; OO-SBD and OO-SBE. From what I heard the short/medium haul fleet will not be much bigger in regards wi...

Re: Brussels Airlines in 2023
Lumumba, the problem is not beeing nice or not. The problem is beeing suitable for crew who need security (mainly in a country as RDC), safety and rest what tent accomodation cannot provide at all. In the case of Luanda, this is not a crew station at the moment, and if one day it would become one th...

Re: Brussels Airlines in 2023
The journey to the city of Kinshasa, where all the hotels are located can take up to 4 hours both way for a layover of just 24h. They found as solution a national park outside with "luxurious" tent... Air France made the choice to send their crew to Brazaville.
