Re: Low cost airlines all scaling back at BRU

That didn't work (fast enough) and now LH took over SN. Maybe they (FR) started the maneuver too late. The result is that FR is now partially pulling out of BRU. I really do not believe Ryanair were aiming at Brussels Airlines in the recent Brussels wars. Ryanair engaged in a war with Vueling and E...

as an extra? because they're already using their A320 on the route Some of Aer Lingus's Dublin - Gatwick rotations will use a leased Cityjet SSJ instead of one of their own A320's. In particular, the following rotation will definitely be using the SSJ: Dublin - Gatwick Gatwick - Knock Knock - Gatwi...

Re: Brussels Airlines' fleet renewal

Some more info for the SSJ of city jet.

-It will be in the Brussels Airlines livery
-98 seat, 5 abreast, 32 inch
-standard service of Brussels Airlines (Buy on board)
Read on another forum (PPRUNE) that Aer Lingus will also use a leased Cityjet SSJ on Dublin - Gatwick starting late May.

by about the equivalent of half a plane if I understand it correctly.
One change I know of is that they have switched the daily evening Dublin rotation from a Dublin based aircraft to a Brussels based aircraft.

Ryanair - Vigo (VGO) to Dublin (DUB) - B738 - AUG 2016

I wasn't expecting to do a trip report, in fact this is my first one. But I guess Vigo ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vigo%E2%80%93Peinador_Airport ) is a European Airport which most of you have not had the opportunity to travel from, and I noticed a few interesting things, so here it goes: FLIGHT ...

Re: Brussels-Dublin & return with Aer Lingus

Great report! I fly this route very often with both airlines.
Interestingly Aer Lingus are changing their schedule for the first time in many many years, so that the evening flight time matches the Ryanair schedule (>1 hour earlier). I will still prefer Ryanair though, less risk of delays.

Wow! It's not surprising that they have cancelled the route, with such strong competition on it. It is surprising however to see it take effect immediately  They must be reassigning that aircraft to Barcelona where they are having significant operational issues respecting schedules. Gives a c...
