Re: Brussels Airlines' fleet renewal

I'm not saying that this in itself would justify SN acquiring some as well, but I wonder how they (the sisters) justify the use of that type. If SN is reportedly having difficulties finding qualified cabin crews to staff the A320, an A321 will only compound the issue as it is one more crew member a...

Re: Brussels Airlines' fleet renewal

Some SN's sister companies, like Swiss and Austria have a (relatively) small fleet of A321s and/or A321s Neo they use on s/h and m/h destinations. I'm not saying that this in itself would justify SN acquiring some as well, but I wonder how they (the sisters) justify the use of that type. I'm not in...

Re: Jet Airways temporarily suspending their ops, is it definitive ?

Their domestic network was also quite extensive and they enjoyed a good reputation, specially compared to Air India whose service and management were sloppy at best and that was rated very low.

Re: Jet Airways temporarily suspending their ops, is it definitive ?

Their daily BRU- Mumbai and BRU-Delhi flights in Business class offered excellent service and were very popular. And their continuation legs BRU-JFK and BRU-Toronto attracted many North American customers. They offered first class seats on their local flights to pax who flew Business on their long-h...

Re: Brussels Airlines' fleet renewal

From day 1 LH has treated SN like an unwanted child. And while it's true they have helped them to stay afloat, it is only this bare minimum they have done for SN. Nothing more. While LX and OS are getting 787's or A350's, SN gets old second hand A330's to replace even older A330's. (and almost week...

Re: Diversions from around the globe (medical, technical, ...) 2023

While approaching Béziers, SN277 (OO-SFJ) was diverted to Lyon where it landed at 12.55 UTC.

Probably technical as it took off from Lyon at 15.42 UTC.

Re: Air Belgium in 2023

I know it's not that simple (KF is not a network Airline) but could't KF/SN/LH unify their (African) network in BRU ? Just as a win-win situation ? Besides, any such arrangement would benefit KF much more as SN already has wide use of a similar network thru the LH group and the Star Alliance. LH wo...

Are these 2 planes also In Eurowings colours or all white? out of 45 Whatever their current look is, together with those 2 leased (and equally unpainted) regional jets it will mean more than 15% of their own fleet does not feature their own name even this summer? Re: Diversions from around the globe (medical, technical, ...) 2023

It sure is easier to accomodate the pax on alternate flights when SN's JFK flights are canceled. But it happens very often nowadays and it doesn't give the image of a serious operator. In past years, SN sometimes operated the Dakar flights with A319. Couldn't that be an alternate solution in case of...

Re: Diversions from around the globe (medical, technical, ...) 2023

Does anyone know why SN501 (OO-SFD) was diverted to Newark on tuesday 16?
Return flight SN502 was canceled and the plane returned from Newark to BRU as SN9902.
SN seems to have a lot of trouble with their JFK flights. And they seem to consider the JFK flight as dispensable.
