Re: Lufthansa to decide on 27 April whether to take over all of Brussels Airlines
You cannot run 2 horses at the same time. BruAir as a BIG problem to solve and no one (Spohr AND Gustin) want to waste time in this kind of things now. From the outside it might look like business as usual but its not at all.

Re: Terror attacks: explosions in the departure hall of Brussels Airport!
That's basically what the police is complaining about no? When they talk about the luggage handling @ BRU. If you want a permanent badge to work at the airport it takes 5 weeks, and the green light is given by the federal police. And its the same for regional airports. Federal police is the only or...

Re: Mbuyi-Mayi airport (DR Congo): the fatal accident that was predicted
If the aircraft did land only halfway down the runway, then the state of the runway didnt really cause the accident, did it? If you land halfway down the runway at BRU in wet weather you can also end up on the ring Its not the cause but a very important factor. You cannot compare a new tarmac like ...

Re: Brussels Airlines' fleet renewal
Yes, I read all quotes carefully, which is why I am thinking they are indeed not saying the Avro's will leave at the same time their replacement arrives, like some people have interpreted it. It seems to me that during next summer season they will fly with the extra airbus planes and (some of) the ...

Re: Brussels Airlines' fleet renewal
Actually B.Air is operating 2 engines types GE and PW. The 3 oldest aircraft are the GE. Lufthansa A330 are RR. The best seller in the late years is RR, so more aircraft in secondhand. RR on A330 as a very good hot and high reputation. This can make a lot of sense on B.Air network. Its maybe the per...

Re: Comac C919 Roll-Out
Its really a blend of different aircraft. In my mind Its a kind of A320 Neo ++. The nose section is very interresting. Like a mini A350. 4 beautifull fixed windows. Perfectly shaped. An escape Hatch on Top. Most of the fuselage + Tail Section + Landing Gear is A320 Tech Root section of wing integrat...

Re: Move Brussels Airport to a new place (ask the NIMBY's)
In Montreal they try and it fail. Dorval is still there and Mirabel a ghost airport. And its very similar in distance from city center to airport to what we have in BRU. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Montr%C3%A9al%E2%80%93Mirabel_International_Airport I dont think Belgium as any money to waste in su...
