On a side note I just saw the Delta flight to KJFK taking off, leaving a nice trail of vortexes behind. The Aeroflot also seemed to be producing some condensation when going through the clouds.

P.s. Does Air Transat have charters to BRU?

Ok thanks. By the way, the Aeroflot Illyushin just flew over, too. Take off must have been around 11:48 or 11:49. :D I'm so happy I saw it!

I just saw an A310 flying over (departing), looked like an Air Transat bird, but I couldn't spot any titles. Flew over Zemst at 11:12. Any idea what this may be, I couldn't see anything in the db.

I have never understood why airlines would invest in expensive leather seats.
Simply because most people prefer leather seats over fabric ones. Leather seats are also a symbol of style, elegance and glamor.

I think they had to make the roll-out on 07/08/07 (mm-dd-yy) for marketing reasons, even though not all parts may have been finished. As stated later in the article, it was predicted that it wouldn't be completely ready on the date of the roll-out.

It's been 3 days now, so I think I'll go, as I have a though one up my sleeve. If Regi posts one before this one is guessed, we can switch over to his and do mine later.

Yes, i know... But if you make a fast calculation: august 2007 - 13,4 = early 1994. And if you know the A330 has only EIS in '94, these planes are quite old... Well SN does have the 3 oldest A330-300's in passenger service (the 3 ex Air Inter birds where delivered as first A330's iirc) http://www.p...

Re: Tri-Star from LUZAIR replacing Jetair's famous OO-TUC B7

Last Friday, I flew from Cuba with a Lockheed 1001-500 Tri-Star from Portuguese charter carrier LUZAIR (including its Portuguese pilots and staff + two Jetair stewardesses LOL) I was very astonished and the crew explained Jetair's B767 was undergoing its annual maintenance. I wonder how old this pl...

I think if one of they types would have to be replaced, it would have to be the Avros. Not just public opinion, but 4 engines = high fuel consumption and probably high maintenance costs, though I'm not sure of about that (any mechanics in the house?)

The only disadvantage I can think of is that there will be a big, ugly banner from the inside if they will be placing ads on them, like they do sometimes with conventional bridges.

The guess the aircraft type game, version 2.0

It's been over a year since the last post in the original topic, and it seems to be broken now, so I'll restart this old game. The rules are straight-forward: one person posts a plane picture, someone else guesses it. If the guess is correct, they can post their own pic. If the person who has guesse...
