Re: Miles & More welcomes Brussels Airlines as new partner

Where in the booking process on brusselsairlines.com can I enter my Miles and More number? Only see the option to add SN Privilege number or BA Exec Club number. There's a double miles offer on at the moment: https://www.miles-and-more.com/online/myportal/mam/de/program/news/detail?l=en&nodeid=2...

Re: They say: Charleroi is the most depressing city in Europe

Have a look at www.charleroiadventure.com. Hilarious!

Regarding the comment on Central Europe- perhaps there are more depressing places, but they're generally on the way up!

Re: When will details about SNs new code sharing be available

Slightly off topic, but do we expect SN to change their booking engine to Amadeus like other airlines in the LH Group (and most Star Alliance airlines)?

Re: Miles & More welcomes Brussels Airlines as new partner

Will they continue code-sharing with BA in the summer season?

Does anyone know what do they plan to go regarding London - ultimately switch code-shares to BMI (who are now deploying smaller ERJ145s on this route), relaunch flights to Heathrow or increase flight to Gatwick?

Re: vlm from Brussels to London City ?

I've flown BRU-LCY a few times, excellent product, the 17h00 flight is perfect for post-work drinks home in London, but far too often it's too expensive! I think they need find a way to offer return flights regularly for nearer 120euros, more comparable to BA.

Re: New website Brussels Airlines

Quick look at Brussels airlines website shows that every city is placed back in the appropriate continent. Not really, Budapest is still in Russia ! So what? Budapest is in Europe, Russia is (at least partly) in Europe. Have you carefully read "in the appropriate continent " ? So would it...

Virgin: the world's best passenger complaint letter?

I'd not seen this posted on Luchtzak, so thought I'd share with you arguably the funniest passenger complaint letter to ease an arduous Monday afternoon! Dear Mr Branson REF: Mumbai to Heathrow 7th December 2008 I love the Virgin brand, I really do which is why I continue to use it despite a series ...

Re: Brussels Airlines introduces credit card surcharge

Please find hereunder an explanation provided by Brussels Airlines: Dear Mr [my name] Brussels Airlines introduced a credit card fee almost one year ago when it made the option of transactions with other payment methods possible. These other methods are free of charge. The Visa fee is due to the co...

Re: Brussels Airlines introduces credit card surcharge

Brussels Airlines has introduced a credit card surcharge of 5 euros per passenger and per trip Can anyone please explain why airlines charge credit card fees PER PASSENGER or PER LEG? It's complete nonsense as the transaction only goes through once! Is this, like "booking fees" just anoth...

Passengers stop flight after 'drunk' pilot sparks panic

It is normally a moment of cheery reassurance when an airline pilot greets passengers during preparations for take-off. But Alexander Cheplevsky sparked panic on flight Aeroflot 315 when he began to speak. His slurred and garbled comments ahead of a flight from Moscow to New York convinced passenger...

Re: New Boeings for Jetairfly-fleet 2009

There are plenty of nearly-new, former SkyEurope 737-700 NG's available at the moment! Maybe even Brussels Airlines should consider taking them - already fitted with nice blue leather seats!

Re: LH and SN: No deal...

Unbelievable! What about AF-KL between France and The Netherlands... or BA & IB between UK and Spain in the future?! There's hardly a lack of competition on UK to Spain routes - plenty of low-cost carriers inc Ryanair and BMI. Paris to Amsterdam is not a major European route and the Thalys prov...

SkyEurope cancelling BRU-PRG

I received the following email from SkyEurope this morning relating to flights I've reserved to Prague on 20-22 March: On behalf of SkyEurope Airlines, we would like to thank you for your reservation. Despite our efforts to minimize any changes in our planned flight plan, we regret to inform you tha...

Re: Polish Airports - 2008

Looks like your Poznan campaign has been largely successful! Congratulations! It's the Krakow statistics that jump out at me though - I suppose the decline is largely the result of SkyEurope's decision to close they're Krakow base, and the demise of Centralwings. Do you know if the airport have any ...

Re: self check-in at the airport... improvement or not?

I must state that I detest this forced "self check in" using a kiosk at the airport only then to stand in another queue to drop your bags off, which takes as long as the classic check in procedure did! Experienced a very frustrating 15min wait in line at BRU on 12/Dec trying to drop off a ...

Re: Question on US Airways: Brussels to the US

ESTA are mandatory after January 12. You can apply on line and it takes seconds to get the form with the approval code. And you will be required to show the form at check in in BRU. You will HAVE to show it at check in? After applying for the ESTA approval (a one-off, mine's valid until 2010 I thin...

Re: Question on US Airways: Brussels to the US

Thanks Stij and Bob for your comments. The price on US Airways is 346euros return, Lufthansa are around 440euros - last week of February. If I do go, they'll certainly be a trip report... In ten days I've a much more exciting trip planned - BA to Buenos Aires, LAN and Aerolineas flights around Argen...
