A bit more detail: easyJet, Europe’s leading low-fares airline, today announced a massive expansion in France that reinforces its position as France’s only significant low-cost airline and the country's second largest carrier. The airline will open its 18th and 19th bases at Paris Charles de Gaulle ...

I've just got back from an excellent trip to Slovenia (on business) but went a couple of days early to make a holiday of it! Although small, Ljubljana is delightful and highly recommended. I think that a 3x daily service on Adria (with whom I flew) is adequate and am not sure what Brussels Airlines ...

Question on Swiss booking

I've a couple of questions re Swiss' booking engine. Firstly - does anyone know which system they use and where I can check a booking online? It's not Amadeus or Galileo, so checkmytrip.com for example doesn't work. A reservation was made for me, and I later called to add my Miles & More number ...

On 31 August 2004 I was flying on an SAS DH400 from Copenhagen to Warsaw (17.25 departure I think) which encountered "technical problems" about twenty minutes after take off! The captain reported the problem first in Danish and I heard gasps around the cabin as I didn't understand what was...

Are you sure there were leather seats in the plane ? I flew SkyEurope onlyonce and they had synthetic/plastic covered seats which, if you don't look carefully, look like leather but aren't. To be honest I'm not sure they're leather either - but that's what SkyEurope claims! Nevertheless, they're co...

This is old news - SkyEurope have been offering Illy espresso's and capo's on their flights since the introduction of the new 737-700NG's which have a proper espresso machine fitted in the galley. Coffee is good, but a little steep at €5 a pop! Still, has been worth it on all those 7am Monday mornin...

If you appreciate ample legroom then I suggest you go for the emergency exit seats. On a Lufthansa 737-300 I think it's row 11, and on an A319, row 9 - not sure if there's a difference on SN.

One of the most frustrating this about the booking process, and comparing flight prices is the tacking on of additional fees, charges, credit card fees etc at the very last step, thereby frustrating a prospective traveller looking for a quote. British Airways, BMI, Lufthansa and a number of other ai...

The old site badly needed a revamp but this is poor - looks like it's been made by a IT amateur using basic html. The banner doesn't fit, the links on the right and bottom are a distraction and the BCSA logo is just far too big for the page. I can only hope this is temporary as, echoing a previous c...
