Re: Boeing 787 and B748 nearing first delivery
I was joking, but I don't actually know. After all, they are tied into the electrical system, so it would be bad if there was a short circuit. I'm not sure how they work, the most simple and robust solution would be to make them mechanical, in which case I don't think they need to be on the MMEL. I...

Re: Boeing 787 and B748 nearing first delivery
What, no wonder they were having weight issues with that plane... Does it also come with a dump-obnoxious-passenger-down-into-cargo-hold button? They really don't way that much, it's just a latch with a plastic plate on the end of it. Quite simple, but as long as they're new, they do the job very w...

Re: Livestream Lufthansa Airbus A380 "Wien" landing at Vienn
Would it be too much asking that you refrain this arrogance? ... P.S. : to SmokeJumper and other US based members, Belgium, aka Absurdistan, is a spot on the map that is one third of the size of the State of Ohio. I doubt whether grouping them into one would be such a great idea. I couldn't care le...

Re: Livestream Lufthansa Airbus A380 "Wien" landing at Vienn
I don't see any other point of view really, simple because the entire airport is located in Flanders.
I hadn't even thought about Zaventem yet... Too bad we all know that won't be happening

Re: Boeing 787 and B748 nearing first delivery
As a Cabin Crew Member (for now :-) ) I love the new features in the 787! The new shades on the windows make it extremely easy to get them ready for take off and landing, certainly due to the fact they can all be blacked out or cleared by the Senior CCM. The indicators which show if the seat is upri...

Re: Livestream Lufthansa Airbus A380 "Wien" landing at Vienn
I never realized Vienna was so small
Anyway, the only correct name for an A380 carrying the BRU name, would be "Brussel".

Not really, according to airliners.net Deleted MSN's: These MSN's were either delayed airframes or were assigned to the now cancelled Freighter line. It is assumed these MSN's will never be used in production, but included below for a complete history of all MSN numbers on the A380 line. MSN018, 024...

Re: BRU 25/06/2011
By "bouncing" your flash (not lighting the subject directly aka. "nuking" it), you create a MUCH bigger light source, which reduces the shadows a lot. I won't go in to too much detail, but just try it and you will see what I'm on about ;-) As for the price and age thing... The le...

Re: BRU 25/06/2011
My recipe? Knowing how to use a flash creatively and efficiently. Instead of just nuking your subject with a bare flash head on, try to bounce it using something big and pale, put something between the flash and the subject, go wild. In the case of a 737 flight deck, the aft overhead panel will do j...

BRU 24/06/2011
Jetairfly's latest, OO-JAH, is scheduled to arrive on June 24th 2011.
The airplane concerned is a Boeing 737-8K5 with the new Sky Interior.
I don't know an ETA for sure, but judging by the latest two arrivals ( JAX & JAD), expect an early arrival.

Re: mega mindy safetyvideo on thomas cook
I do get the impression these videos do their part very well. At JAF we have the same system on some planes too (with Louis and Marie, of course), and people do seem to pay more attention to it. Only thing I'm not sure about here is the length of the video... 6 minutes seems rather long to me, if yo...
