Re: BRU Winter 2015/2016: latest news, routes, airlines
From 7 December bmi Regional are improving the flight schedule between East Midlands and Brussels to offer better flight times, convenience and more flexibility. Improved departure times from East Midlands Airport means you avoid the hassle of the red eye early morning flights but still allows you ...

Re: Brussels Airlines' fleet renewal
If I understood good it's impossible to stop those canceld flights and make SN profitable ?!? I mean a small company like SN will never be able to compete with AF etc...? SN will get profitable of course but you will never be able to totally eliminate cancelled flights ... Every airline has them......

Re: Brussels Airlines' fleet renewal
Air France does have quite a few more long haul aircraft available than SN, though. It's only logical that chances are higher that AF will be able to obtain an other aircraft to perform a flight if the original aircraft goes tech. SN does not have this luxury. The long haul fleet is rather small, a...

Re: Jet Airways out of Brussels?
Why this aggressive tone? I am only trying to help out here. Without jumping the conclusions, spreading rumours or claiming anything. I prudently stick to the facts, so should you. Rumours are no facts. I didn't mean to be aggressive (and don't' think I was). If you stick to the facts this I don't ...

Re: Brussels Airlines' fleet renewal
I know you are refering mainly to the s/h fleet here, but meanwhile SN 501 to JFK was again cancelled today! Cancellations happen on a daily basis, all over the world, with old and new planes. Do you have any stats that show that SN cancels more long-haul flights than other airlines, and that SN's ...

Re: Brussels Airlines' fleet renewal
Money doesn't just fall out of the sky, though. There has to be a source for it. LH has been part of that source for quite some time. Without LH, I think SN would have been in very dire straits by now. Maybe yes but SN was financed by banks and they now the rules of a business plan. And SN is not e...

Re: Brussels Airlines' fleet renewal
But I think we have to stop thinking that LH will save us. Sorry, but aren't we forgetting that LH has already saved SN...? Without the money from LH, SN would be in very, very, very tight shoes right now... If they would be still around at all that is. I understand that you can not built a company...

Re: Brussels Airlines' fleet renewal
Hi, Just answer to mention that I don't care flying older airbus planes of SN, I know their are maintained by the best, I also prefer more network grew then investments in newer planes... BUT It's a fact that SN has the worst fleet in age , their A330auch ! , with NO fast grew nor replacements orde...

Re: Jet Airways out of Brussels?
My best guess... LH increasing capacity between BRU and FRA either by using bigger equipment or more flights to funnel some local Indian bound pax through their hub. Maybe, a big maybe, AI starting a (daily?) flight between DEL and BRU, connecting the capitols of both countries and Europe. The bigg...

Re: Draft proposal of aviation law to settle problems at BRU
First of all I'm not sure if we have to expand or not Brussels Airport I realy don't now . I understand it's an economic motor etc... But for example DHL can expand at other airports,LGG or CDC suffer less than the Brussels area for example. They had a good politic around the airport of Liege I even...
