Re: BrusselsAirlines - the TURBOPROPS will come!

As even the CRJ700s / 900s cannot be boarded in BRU via the skybridges (even if a/c is parked at a skybridge position you have to go down the steps to the tarmac and board the a/c from here) it seems highly unlikely that this would work with any turboprop in BRU.

Re: German judge forbits ATC strike

The strike for Thursday, 4 August has been cancelled now by the union. After the Frankfurt labour court decided on Wednesday evening the strike would have been illegal and it became clear that a verdict of the appeal court (state labour court of Hesse) could only be expected sometime in the very ear...

Re: BrusselsAirlines - the TURBOPROPS will come!

uhh :? Coming back from a holiday I just read this thread, well I kind of flew over 8 pages of funny discussions of (adult?) people throwing once again arguments at each other (haven't I read all those arguments before?). But maybe somebody can give any facts? Is there by now any announcement what S...

Re: Lufthansa competitors made no bids for Brussels slots

well, the only possible competitors would be LCC. AF/KL oder BA/IB would never go into direct competition with the LH group on such a route. Because they know the next logical step would be LH to do the same on one of their very profitable routes. Of course such routes like FRA-BRU or BRU-ZRH and so...

Re: Replacement of SN's Avro RJ and B737 fleet

Now, that would be a good explanation, but unfortunately I am afraid it's just the usual livery fuck up which we have become accustomed to when it comes to our A319 fleet... G-EZEI will become OO-SSV and already has the' 'V' on the nose as it should have. G-EZEM will become OO-SSU, yet has 'M' on t...

bruteboeing wrote:they made a small mistake painting an "M" on the nose, there is already a SSM in the fleet, as said before it should have been U or V
could the "M" be a sticker there because it is (until now) still G-EZEM ?

Re: SN flight to TLS left without baggage !

Let's be fair: SN have got everybody to their destination (be it TLS or BRU) on schedule, despite a strike of ground support services at the airport of Toulouse AND they took up the hastle as well as all charges to transport the pax luggages over land in the briefest possible delay. It may be far f...

Re: Ryanair running drug tests on its employees in Belgium

That should be - in one form or another - normal procedure in an industry like this all over Europe and I would guess it is indeed. I know it is widely being done in other industries with people working in 'sensitive areas' (pharmaceutical and chemical industry for example). Of course works councils...

Re: Lufthansa Italia to stop operations next winter

hm, nice words from LH, but they mean nothing else than "our strategy since 2008 has failed in Milan". With the added capacity in FRA from winter 11/12 (4th runway) they will probably offer more connecting flights to Italy and Air Dolomiti will increase links with MUC. But the direct servi...

Re: Brussels Airlines passenger treatment BRU-Warsaw via Kra

Hm, regarding the transfer pax missing their connections in BRU I would expect that they (as I certainly would and did several times already ...) contacted the gate staff in WAW as the delay was announced initially and requested a rebooking on another flight connection. This is usually the time when...

Re: Taxi's blocking Brussels Airport after police shot drive

the time has indeed come to split up the country. I am happy for you that you never had real issues. It is in contrast with my business contacts who regularly complain about very strange experiences. Writing as somebody who has used Taxi's to / from Brussels Airport several hundred times over the past 10 years or so: So far I never really experienced a major problem, drivers are (on average of course) as good or as bad as they are in other European capitals ... the prices are actually ok as well...

Re: BMI joins LH's Atlantic Joint Venture, LX and OS next

I still think oneworld would have been a better option for SN. Alas, what is done is done. Honestly I do not see how BA could have done so much for SN and integrate them succesfully so fast as LH is doing it right now. BA still has to sort out quite a lot internally. LH is progressing with SN quite...

well, (1) SN can offer their customers a greater choice of destinations within the own "network" .. thereby avoiding people which have to go to Buenos Aires once in a while take AF or BA for this purpose and end up with doing all flights with AF or BA afterwards. (2) well, hm, was it SN be...

Well, what LH understands as a shuttle service you can see between FRA and TXL, 17 flights a day, usually all operated by A321s: 06:00 LH 168 06:50 LH 170 08:35 LH 172 09:15 LH 174 10:05 LH 176 11:20 LH 178 12:40 LH 180 14:05 LH 182 15:20 LH 184 16:35 LH 186 17:30 LH 188 18:20 LH 190 19:00 LH 192 19...
