Re: Strikes worldwide (except Belgium) in 2019

For those two SN-flights, which flights are cancelled/delayed? Or where these planes otherwise just standing still at BRU? There are less flights during the winter schedule, thus planes are easily available. Why don't they use those available planes in the winter schedule to (new) "business de...

Re: Brussels Airport (BRU) infrastructure: future

None of those stands had double boarding bridges in the past, I feel like you’re thinking of 233. That stand is A380 capable, with double bridges. Whether or not double bridges will be installed, I have no clue, but I do think others on this forum might. 233 is a triple bridge A380 capable gate. On...

Re: Brucargo 2019: cargo routes & news

Did Saudia leave Brussels completely? And why it was a long term client! Thanks They moved towards Germany if I'm not mistaken. The same reason as why others have left: A combination of service levels and/or freight demand. One as a consequence off the other. (I just can conclude that some things w...

And this is the root cause of the linguistic problems in Belgium. Will any Walloon company translate every communication in Dutch if they have no sites situated in Flanders? I doubt it. But when french speaking people come to work or live in Flanders they want any communication in French. Why? becau...

Re: Brussels Airlines in 2019

The impact of Wamos taking over Neckermann is not completely clear yet, but at least there is hope that they will take over some Thomas Cook business. Wamos have an ultra low cost airline branch, so either SN will have to offer very cheap flights either they will operate the flights themselves by f...

Re: Brussels Airlines in 2019

Been working on a project for BKO recently. Till August there were also 7 weekly flights to ORY in addition to the AF dailies to CDG. 4 Aigle Azur and 3 Corsair. ET flies a weekly T7 cargo from BRU and CV has an irregular 74 from LUX. H.A. ET towards BKO? They have a positioning flight BKO-BRU as f...

Saudia Cargo adds Liège Airport to its network https://aircargoworld.com/allposts/saudia-cargo-adds-liege-airport-to-network/ Really sad that they left BRU because of the noise restrictions of the Brussels capital. Cargo is really suffering Not only due to the noise restrictions in this case.

Re: Brussels Airlines in 2019

Just a though, but could the long MX time have something to do with the lack of spares for the new type of engines and so on?
I can imagine that supplies are low for the moment as they are switching to the newer A333 type. Especially if it's involving some less prone to fail pieces.

I have made more specific researches about the B31 - B33 triple gate at BRU. Informations collected from last year but interesting. Learning about an issue. As a reminder, the whole infrastructure has cost a 6 millions € budget. A confirmed chinese technology used wordwide and for the first time at...

They needed a reason to extend the runway, don't think anyone else was candidate to play such a role.

As from Monday 12th August 2019: major road works on the R11 Krijgsbaan Borsbeek-Wilrijk, just next to Antwerp Airport: http://wegenenverkeer.be/node/6588 That should have no impact at all on the airport or its passengers: the terminal is on the other side, so from either way to the airport, you do...
