Re: THY is buying LOT?
To put it politely, in my limited experience, Poland is not a country which particularly embraces other ethnicities or cultures, and I can see any attempt by TK to make any serious investment in LOT quickly becoming sidetracked into a cultural/ethnic/religious debate rather than being a simple matt...

Crash of Hewa Bora plane, inappropriate comment
Good news for Korongo? I am very sorry but this is a totally inappropriate comment to make! I would encourage the author to apologize and the website administrators to remove it. It is also concerning that noone else so far seems to have noticed the inapropriateness of said comment. Accidents are t...

Re: Brussels Airlines to start US service in 2012
Any insider info (or speculation) on the destination? My guess is EWR or ORD. JFK seems unlikely as there are three (soon two) carriers on the route and both AA and DL have downgraded from 763 to 752. The Washington market is I think sufficiently covered by the daily UA flight. EWR is a likely as th...

Re: 2011 Liège Airport (LGG) latest news
Hardly blackmail, I would say. They have a quieter fleet now so they're going back to Schiphol which seems far more interesting for them. And even if they decide to stay, the option to move gives them bargaining power. That's plain commercial tactics, not blackmail.

Re: Emergency landing Avro Brussels Airlines 16 april
Dear All, I am not casting blame. But let's compare the incidents involving any of the 25 SN Avros during the last 12 months... Brussels RJ85 near Milan on Mar 28th 2011, smoke on board Brussels RJ1H at Brussels on Jan 16th 2011, could not retract gear Brussels Airlines RJ1H at Geneva on Nov 23rd 20...

Re: Emergency landing Avro Brussels Airlines 16 april
Dear All, In my view, there are just too many incidents with SN Avros given the small number of aircraft they have in the fleet. The frames, although robust and well-maintained, are getting old and are very complex to operate/maintain. Do we need a serious accident before SN starts thinking about re...

Re: BeOnTop Airlines - Liège Airport
Is it your problem ? Tip of the day: BeOnTop® is now Registrated . You're really asking for it, aren't you? "Registrated" is not an English word. The correct form is "registered". To be quite frank - if you are indeed working for the company you claim to be working for, they are...

Question: Ryanair aircraft and flight/cabin crew scheduling
Dear all, I would be interested in getting a better idea of the way aircraft and flight/cabin crew are dispatched at Ryanair. What would be the typical rotation of an aircraft based in, say, CRL? Does it fly only sectors to and from its base, or is it dispatched across Europe without necessarily eve...

Question: LOT Charters 737 at BRU on 02JAN
Dear all, Best wishes for the New Year, and many happy landings! I was coming into BRU yesterday (02JAN) on the evening LOT flight from WAW, landing around 22:15 LCL, and saw a LOT Charters 737 parked at the A pier. The aircraft left shortly after our E175 docked. Was this 737 performing the evening...

Reg question: BRU-LHR this Sunday 05DEC
Dear all, I am flying BRU-LHR this Sunday evening (05DEC), and was wondering whether anyone could help with the registration of the aircraft (SN2101 dep. at 1915Z)? Also, what sectors is the aircraft doing before going to LHR? Flt 2101 has been substantially delayed in the last couple of days. Any i...

Re: Top 10 dangerous airliners
As far as I see, only 2 of the top 10 are Star Alliance members (Egyptair and Thai). China Airlines isn't a member, Air China is though.I see 3 Star alliance members in the list
Happy landings,
Chris

Question: UA951 BRU-IAD on THU 04 NOV
Dear all,
I am flying BRU-IAD on UA951 on Thursday 04 NOV (tomorrow, at the time of writing).
Am travelling in C class and was wondering what sort of load to expect. The A/C is a 777 so I presume it is still the old C class config.
Any info much appreciated.
Many thanks,
Chris

Re: BRU: Schengen Bus Arrivals drop-off at pier A - why?
My guess is that it is to make it easier for transfer passengers who have a (tight) connection out of pier A.
