Are there good destinations of Sabena that are still not served by SNBA? Maybe some East European destinations or to the North of Africa? Greetz, Dave There are some destinations in the UK which were served by Sabena but not by SNBA. These are Glasgow, Edinburgh, Belfast and Leeds. They either have...

Who could defile such a beautiful aircraft by adding those dreadful winglets!!! http://www.airliners.net/open.file/325306/m/ Comet, the picture you selected shows a Comet in BEA colours. I thought that they were all operated by BOAC. No Andre, the only British airline with the Comet 1 was BOAC, but...

You're right about the beef fat, we always do them that way at home, it improves the flavour no end.
It's also nice to see that others know the places that I'm talking about.

In Britain there are many complaints about charter airlines, as there are about Ryanair. Many charter airlines in Britain start up and either end up going bankrupt or taken over by bigger companies, but no one would ever regard them as quality airlines (and that is the point of view of someone Briti...

It's a strange site - most of it seems to be under construction still, and there's too much of that flash stuff in it.

Good Food In Spa

When I was in Spa I came across a real gem of a place. It's a restaurant called Les Relais, and it's quite reasonably priced. The main problem for me was that the menu was all in French, and the waiter only spoke a little English, but we muddled through it and I ordered grilled rainbow trout. The tr...

The BRU-MAN-BRU flights operated by Sabena were almost invariably full, both on the Avro and the 737, most people obviously prefer quality over crap!!!

Andre - you hit Manchester at the worst time of the year for delays, it's the height of the holiday season just now, and you get alot of serious delays. BA sound like a real load of crap, you now know why I will only ever fly to Belgium on Belgian airlines. VLM always used to mention their code shar...

Row 11 is definitely a good one to be in, I was in a row 11 seat in June, and got some superb photos in flight, you see the flaps coming down and retracting, the back of the engines and also sometimes the landing gear door opening and closing. If you get too far forward on these types, you get the f...

The Avro is a great aircraft to fly on, especially if you get an "engine view" from your seat. I flew on one back in June and had engine views both times (though they were the back view, which is better). With the type having high wings you don't get the irritating complete wing view like ...

I imported some Westvleteren 12 and some Chimay Tripel (white top). If I can this year I plan to import some Sloeber and some Rochefort 6 (unavailable in Yorkshire). Westvleteren 12? Mmmh, so you visited the trappist abbey? Westvleteren is only available at the abbey. Also something strange, Rochef...
