Re: Three Ryanair "emergency" landings in Valencia on same d

"Ook KLM laat piloten met weinig brandstof vliegen" Interesting story, so I've searched for the main source. Actually, the incident is not part of a fuel investigation, but part of an investigation into the influence of passengers rights onto aviation safety by Degas - Dutch Expert Group ...

Re: Three Ryanair "emergency" landings in Valencia on same d

I dont know what the problem was, but what the hell is wrong with returning back to the airport with a technical problem? Would you have preferred the airplane to continue? I agree with you: there is nothing wrong with a return. But then, why is that not valid for Brussels Airlines, and why are the...

Re: Three Ryanair "emergency" landings in Valencia on same d

As can by read in your very own post, Passenger, you have no idea what the difference between a precautionary landing and an emergency landing is. Difference? An emergency landing doens't even exist at Ryanair: it is allways a precautionary landing. But then, just tell us - third request - what the...

Re: Three Ryanair "emergency" landings in Valencia on same d

Tell us what happened to FR5465 yesterday (Charleroi-Madrid): the aircraft that made a U-turn near Paris and came back to CRL. Let me guess: it was just a precaution landing, there was just a minor issue, it was no safety problem at all, pax were never in danger but Ryanair takes no risks regarding ...

Re: Three Ryanair "emergency" landings in Valencia on same d

It seems that those who continue to defend their employer here (airline and/or airport) have not seen the full documentary on KRO (NOS) yet. Calling Ryanair’s fuel policy a non-event and not a REAL safety issue surpasses Comical Ali, Sadam Housein’s late minister for Information on the day of the in...

Re: Three Ryanair "emergency" landings in Valencia on same d

Just a short translation from the program content that KRO has put online: … Ryanair pilots regularly fly with so little fuel that they feel uneasy… In order to save money, they are put under severe pressure to take as little fuel as possible... They see their collaboration to this television broadc...

Re: 2012 Liège Airport (LGG) latest news

This is a forum, and the general principle of a forum is that everyone is free to share news, information, facts, comments. If news about LGG has to be limited to good news about cargo growth only, the title of this topic has to be changed. FACT : on 27th Nov 2012, all Belgian press reported about a...

Re: Now this is called real planespotting !!

Very fresh news for dailymail it seems. The Daily Mail? Oh yes, that other English tabloid... Actually, the video indeed is old. But it only showed the touch down from a distance. Bild now has published new photo's: spectacular close ups from the touchdown. My guess: the photographer had offered th...

Re: 2012 Liège Airport (LGG) latest news

The false rumours in the press could have been avoided if Liège Airport would have given correct information to journalists immediately when it happened . The refusal from LGG to give relevant details to journalists (airline's name, aircraft type) inspired their natural instict to assume that someth...

Re: Possible scam with take-off weight at Ryanair

This is the thing: The airplanes are in the register as 66.990kg and very occasionally get changed to 69.990 or 74.990 in real time after wihich the MTOW is reduced again to 66.990kg. So the MTOW is SOMETIMES higher then 66.990 in the register for a few hours, but then changed again. Now read this ...

Re: Possible scam with take-off weight at Ryanair

Germany has set out the rules very clearly, without any possible discussion. tolipanebas has cleared this up from the first day this topic was online: ... Germany interprets 'MAX allowable TOW' as 'MAX MTOW allowable', not as 'selected MTOW from a set of MTOWs'. As such, Germany will ALWAYS charge y...

Re: 07/12/2012 Snow predictions at BRU

All of you should join us for a day when it is snowing at BRU airport. Then you'd understand why Bru Air cancelled the flights (cause a decent amount of snow was forecasted). Sometimes it takes 20' to de-ice 1 a/c. You are nr 34 in de-icing sequence..., any idea when we will be able to start then? ...

There was a power problem at Charleroi this afternoon. Between 16h45 and 18h00, power to the runway lights broke down, causing two cancellations and four deviations to LGG. Re: Brussels Airport to invest €200M, create 3,000 new jobs

It looks like a big joke to me ... the cargo is dying in BRU for many reasons, some wanted by the gov, some unwanted but nethertheless very real. There are a lot (actually, too many) cheaper and better alternative in a 300km radius. plus, their idea of bio-logistics already exists ... 90 km away : ...
