It says that the secretary General of the Viet-Nam communist party is visiting Belgium from 10th march on. Wow! A politician (not even a government official) who gets a private 777? I don't see Elio De Rupo in Belgium flying on an SN Brussels Airlines 777  And he was coming from Havana. No...

ICAO (the United Nations aviation agency) might be more useful than IATA. ICAO regulates ALL aeroplanes in the world. IATA is only a commercial organisation for SOME airlines.

CanonFreak,

You can count as well as I do. 12 x 25 = 300 planes a year. The goal of Boeing is 285 this year, so they are almost on schedule with 45 for Jan + Feb.

Airbus has not published its Feb figures yet, but they were also aiming at 300 planes in 2004.

And yes the mean meal was hot, we even got some warm bread (and it smelled extremely good, so another advantage of seating in the front row.) My mother and I took some white wine, my father some red wine and afterwards, we drunk a bottle of champagne and a baileys (but the baileys and the champagne...

I was holding out for an A319 on my outward flight, as I know that SNBA operate the type into BHX. I like the ARJ, but I will be going on some in September, and it would have been nice to have my first flight in an A319. Come one week earlier, and you'll have an A319 on the BHX-BRU leg. The change ...

A "special article" is e.g. the analysis of a situation (the merger of Air France and KLM, the product line of Boeing), a guess into the future (the prospects for a joint SN BA/VEX company), a historical reminder (the history of Sabena), etc. "Did you know" refers to some odd fac...

Thanks for very nice (and technically detailed) flight report, Kcinnay. I like your routing through the very important city of Haacht (and its excellent pils beer...).

Was your meal hot or cold? And what did you drink?
