Re: VLM Airlines bought by management

A319 and LCC? No don't think so, don't be a follower but a leader!
It's better to focus at a niche market like they did before 8-)

Hi everybody, I was just scrolling down some topics and discovered a lot of new users on luchtzak since the time I was really a lot online. Who is still there from the 2003-2004 period? Last time I was here got the news that MD-11 is doing his dangerous tricks with a train now instead of driving cla...

Oh my God, they are still serving those untasteful colorie-bombs between AMS-BRU. Nice F50 pics. Yes, I am happy that all US carriers always serve healthy food  KLM Cityhopper recently lined up all onboard catering with KLM. This means all meals will have the same choice and quality within KL...

Main problem for VLM is cash and no investor to buy Jets in the first place.
A F50 cost almost nothing these days and they can keep expanding slowly.
Even Panda Holding is owner of VLM and Denim there just isn't enough financial backup to invest in Jets.

Boy oh boy, shall we all wait and see what will happen?
Since we are no investors, none of us has the slight idea where is the negotiation proces so far.

In the next coming months VLM is going to add two more F50's. Total number of aircrafts grow to 21. One of them is coming from Denim air, the other from outside that group. And Vanneste confirms that they are thinking to use bigger aircrafts than F50 and this to open other destinations. Source: luc...

Aren't they planning this for a couple of years now? In my opinion they are way too late to restart production of this plane designed back in the 80's. And I am rather sure they will not be willing to invest vast amounts of money in a new (or at least upgraded) design, only to be beaten up by Embra...

If BrusselsAir light is offering the same low service as Easyjet the passenger will look at price and departure and arrival time. Main target is to choose the best slots for competing destinations. On the other hand, EasyJet is in this business pretty long time and knows how to play the game. Sure, ...

Brussels airlines don't have to worry, same thing happened in AMS and see how things go now. SPL got there own low cost gates (H) where BMI Baby, Easyjet, Sky, Jet2 and others are now boarding. KLM is not having any impact on the fact that the lcc are now at SPL. They did lower their prices but beli...

I assume this case will force new health procedures/health checks for pilots. You do not just get a heart attack. This is mostly something that was simmering months or even years before. Pilots medicals are yearly and normaly more as enough. People do get heart attacks just like that, some things c...

A long time ago I already said on this forum that I didn't believe in the A380 at all, a lot told me I was wrong. Very slowly it looks to me that my conclusion was the correct one. If I was Airbus I would stop the A380 project and would concentrate on the very succesful A318, 319 and 32* and the A33...

Everybody knows Ryanair in Europe.
Some love them, some hate them.
I like them but it is low cost.
Don't think Ryanair is going to stick it's nose in low cost transatlantic flights.
