Re: Brussels Airlines in 2019
SFX is finished since last week, it’s paperwork stuff that’s holding back the release.
SFH is indeed in Amman to get its new cabin.
It could/should go somewhat smoother indeed...

Re: Airbus A350 XWB news
Lessor Avolon (Ireland) has dropped four A350-900s from its total order of 14, while adding 10 more A330-900s to reach 37. Is the A330neo better from an economic point of view than the A350? It depends. The trip cost of an A330neo is lower than for an A350, so when the demand isn't there to fill up...

Re: Brussels Airlines in 2019
I meant: how is it going to change anything that YOU know how big the bill is? If YOU could something about it, you would know how much it is. The people and managers that can do something about it, are very much aware of the costs and it is one of their priorities to get it under control and within...

Re: Brussels Airlines' fleet renewal
OO-SFH is currently flying from HKG to AMM for cabin retrofit. It's the last one (7th) of the current A330 refleet program.

Re: BRU Summer 2020: news, new routes, airlines
Strange logic: -you support incentives which make your comfortable nonstop flight more expensive -you are happy to subsidise the seat next to you, which will reduce your comfort due to connecting delays, airspace and airport congestion... But as you say, you are free to do so! Your logic is flawed ...

Re: Brussels Airlines' fleet renewal
It is probably the acceptance flight by the lessor/owner, it covers a complete flight as well as some emergency procedures. SFW will be parted out, this was very likely its very last flight. Ever.

Re: Brussels Airlines in 2019
As from 1 January, LH will sell the flights, EW will concentrate on EU short haul. (This is already known for a long time.)
For SN, the operator of the flights, nothing will change.

It's not only SN that makes some adjustments to its meal offering: https://onemileatatime.com/lufthansa-reducing-economy-meal-service/ It's been previously said on this forum the LH, LX, OS and SN are streamlining their offer, among synergies and other benefits, this will also enable SN flights to b...

Re: Air Belgium in 2019
Where is the problem? An Air Belgium aircraft was grounded in Lima for 4 days by a ground incident caused by a loading truck, an incident out of the responsibility of the airline. Lol, obviously ground handling is within the responsibility of an airline! I also think your censorship is very misplac...

Eurowings plans Dusseldorf – Verona route form 31 March 2020 with Q400 operated by LGW. Eurowings to launch service from Hamburg to Larnaca from 16 May 2020, with A320. Instead of echoing all the press releases, it would also be interesting to know which routes are axed. Eurowings is restructuring ...

Austrian Airlines to cut costs, jobs as LCC competition intensifies. http://m.atwonline.com/airlines/austrian-airlines-cut-costs-jobs-lcc-competition-intensifies Can we expect the same scenario for SN? The situation at OS looks even worse than at SN (which is not expected to fire people, but rely o...

Re: Brussels Airlines in 2019
Next Thursday is November 7th . What a nice touch to pick that date and not a day before or after. Why? On 7th Nov 2001, Sabena was declared bankrupt. Lol, it is just like RoMax said, it's the day that Lufthansa announces its Q3 results. Don't take it personally like H.A., it has nothing to d...
