Re: Bezetting Antwerpen- Manchester
I just simulated two reservations, one for departing from ANR tonight and coming back from MAN tomorrow night, the other for a similar trip in March 2013. The respective prices are a whopping EUR 1,056.25 and a very reasonable EUR 129.01. I also noticed that non-flex business class is cheaper than ...

Only Danish signature (CAU) is missing. In the meantime SAS shares went up 23 pct on Stockholm stock exchange.

Re: Something going on at SAS ?
Norwegian Cabin Crew (SNK) has signed a new agreement with SAS. It's one of the 8(!) unions in negotiations with SAS. No news from Sweden or Denmark.

Farewell to AA at BRU on 06NOV12
Hi all! Tomorrow, 06 November 2012, the Silverbird will touch down at BRU for the very last time. A sad occasion, though not to be missed by former AA-employees and avgeeks. With former employees we meet at 0900 at check-in row 9 where we hopefully can meet some ex-colleagues. Thereafter we'll go to...

Re: Something going on at SAS ?
Shares in SAS have been suspended most likely because of this announcement: http://se.yhp.waymaker.net/sasgroup/release.asp?id=263426 It is not very usual to suspend shares only for the announcement of quarterly results! I agree but in the case of SAS it is, added with the wide-spread rumours of ba...

Re: Something going on at SAS ?
The Stockholm Stock Exchange confirms that shares in Scandinavian carrier SAS have been suspended today, adding to speculation over the carrier's future. What is going on? Merger, take-over, bankruptcy? Shares in SAS have been suspended most likely because of this announcement: http://se.yhp.waymak...

Re: Something going on at SAS ?
As from 01 November 2012, SAS' Finnish subsidiary Blue1, will turn into a production company. Wet-lease construction in other words. The B717 fleet will be flying around for a while I guess, albeit with other titles. Examples of this change: Blue1 brand will be changed for SAS brand in Finnish marke...

Re: Ryanair experience September 2012 CRL-MAD-CRL
Ok, so here comes the price calculation/comparison. I'd like to add my outbound flight was on a Friday morning and my inbound flight was on a Saturday afternoon. Forget about a low price with IB with this formula because they apply a Sunday-rule (obligatory night Saturday-Sunday). I'm not sure wheth...

Re: Ryanair experience September 2012 CRL-MAD-CRL
It's always nice to read trip reports and flight experiences from others; I admit I should do a few myself as they'd proof interesting reading too, but I just can't find the time to write them. Just a quick remark: Once in-flight there is no difference at all between Ryanair and the majority...

Ryanair experience September 2012 CRL-MAD-CRL
I've traveled with Ryanair to Madrid last weekend and I must admit I was positively surprised about their product. Having worked for and traveled only with traditional airlines, I was skeptical to fly with them and so I read every little detail during the booking process – just to make sure I wouldn...

Great livery but wasn't VAC one of the first to leave the fleet "soon"? This baby is from the Sobelair-era, right?
Sidenote: mixed feelings about the growing contrast between TUI-investments and Thomas Cook-savings. Best example of a local brand's strength. Don't change it.

Re: BRU 10/09/2012 Ethiopian B787
Goodmorning, Yesterday, after the salute of the Ethiopian B787, there was another salute from the fire brigade for an Air One plane just in front of gate 45. It was around 11h00. What was the reason for this? New route? New plane? Or just a free plane wash :D ... Thanks for the answer. Rgds, CRJ 90...

Re: BRU: Monthly traffic figures 2012
If you'd ask me, the impact of losing those 2 JFK connections will be rather limited. A kind of consolidation took place, which was about time. Now, don't forget there's Thai putting in more capacity and an additional rotation starting Winter 2012. Then, what is certainly encouraging to see is the c...

Today OO-DJJ departed to Congo to join the Korongo-fleet A second BAe146 that will sit idle most of the time? Or is it a sign that the network will dramatically expand in the near future? I agree with Tolipanebas! If you'd expect their planes would have a Ryanair-working schedule, then your expecta...

Re: SAS to operate Copenhagen-San Francisco from April 2013
They're said to be dropping BKK in order to free a plane for this route, which wouldn't be a suprise to me as SK has very stiff competition from the Gulf carriers on their Asian routes ever since those have started serving CPH and since their alliance partner TG is also serving BKK, they won't loos...
