Re: What future for SN Brussels Airlines (and Virgin Express
How can somebody from BIAC be a board member of SNBA. Isn't this a mix of interests? I believe that in a competitive kind of view this is not fair for other companys! Didn't you know BIAC is an important shareholder of SN Airholding, thus co-owwer of both SN and VEX? No mixing of interests whatsoev...

I think Nimes is just a bit too close to Mairseille to be considered since the last thing SN wants to do is to undercut its own business route to MRS. Montpelier would already be slightly better, and as a coastal town, always has a plus. What about Perpignan? As the last sea side reasort before the ...

Indeed no more Jersey next year. It was a strange idea from the start and even the people from 'network' at SN admitted it was a big gamble. If VLM couldn't fill a F-50 on this route only a few years ago, then how could SN possibly think to do much better? Anyhow, with only 2 weekly flights and some...

I expect there will be some reductions to the 153 weekly (including the SN LHR flight) flights between BRU and LON. Very possible, except fort the once weekly SN Brussels Airlines operated BRU-LHR flight on saturday evening (return on sunday morning) which will NOT be discontinued, no matter what t...

Buzz, that 'thing' off the B pier is in fact looking very much like a huge white marque and serves as a kind of waiting room for passengers who's plane is on remote stand and need to be bussed to their flight. (You could best compare its use to a kind of bus station) I can't remember it being used o...

I have no link or anything factual to back up what I am about to tell you, but let's just say an unusually favourable wind blew some higly interesting information my way.... SN will get its 4th A330 Q1 2007. Unlike the 3 others, It will be an A330-200. To brigde the time gap between winter 2005 and ...

Contrary to many intercontinental airlines, SN sees LGW more as the gate way to the south of the UK than a metropolitan airport of London as such... Obviously passengers to/from London are also more than welcome on the flights and during low season LGW is even promoted as a cheap way to fly to Londo...

Yes, Sabena used to have a code share deal with El Al too and it is known SN Brussels Ailines has been willing to code share with them again ever since they've restarted their TLV operations. Back in the Sabena days, both carriers flew a daily rotation (SN sometimes even with a Sobelair 767) and des...

SN adds Milan Linate to its European network
After SN Airholding decided to move its low cost airline 'Virgin Express' from the city airport of Linate to the airport of Bergamo, 'SN Brussels Airlines' has reached a full code-share agreement with Alitalia on all Milan routes. DannyVDB- SN has been adding extra flights for the EU parliament for a long time (even in the Sabena days), so it is not like they are a new initiative like you seem to have understood from SN26567's comment. It is just that in the past, they sold individual tickets to the EP and added capacity to t...

It is well known the driving force behind the legal injuctions to stop the Berlin Senate from closing THF, is the largest operator of the historical city airport: i.e. SN Brussels Airlines.
