Well, Maybe...
But any delay she has will not be due to any action by belgian ATCOs.
Btw, BGATC, the professional organisation of belgian ATCOs does not support the actions and calls for bilateral negotiations between airlines and control organisations to arrive at a mutually beneficial agreement.

Re: Strike at Belgocontrol?
The controllers are NOT asking for action, the unions are. Not all controllers are union members. And most controllers have not forgotten that the unions turned their back on them when they went on strike a few years ago for a valid reason. (That reason was validated by a court case that the Belgoco...

Re: Strike at Belgocontrol?
There will be no strike by the ATCOs of Belgocontrol. The "common union front" (which represents only 2 of the 3 unions) calls for a work-to-rules action by the controllers. Even if this call is answered, delays caused directly by this action will be minimal. However, larger delays might o...

Re: Abnormalities in BRU-ANR-OST-CRL-LGG in 2012
From what I heard: there was an animal loose on rwy 20 (possibly a fox). That was why rwy 20 was not available while Brussels Airport personnel tried to catch it. ATC decided to use 25L for landing to minimize delay for arrivals on an adhoc basis. I can imagine that the situation on the ground chang...

(SABENA?) - Minerva TT
I have found a few pictures of a Minerva TT in SABENA colours. It was supposedly used to tow/push the meteo plane? Is there anyone who knows more about this car or any other Minerva used by SABENA? Or used by the Regie der Luchtwegen/Régie des voies Aériennes? http://www.minervattregister.be/geschie...

off topic, but I can't resist... The safety of air traffic... I think it is quite telling that the first phase of the Performance Plan FABEC has started at the beginning of 2012 and for every key performance area there is a key performance indicator EXCEPT for safety. The ones with KPIs are environm...

Re: Belgium 30/01/2012 Strike
As far as I know, nothing has been decided yet. I did hear that the unions were going to present a strong case to the ATCOs at Belgocontrol in favour of joining the strike. I heard nothing about it after that initial announcement. Anyway, I think that there will be enough ATCOs willing to work that ...

Re: Public strike on Thursday 22 Dec: what about BRU?
The holdup by our government on the early retirement scheme of pilots and cc is shameful. The argument that the same rules should apply for everyone is a nice soundbite for the politicians but in real life, not every job is the same . The pilots and cabin crew are the beginning; police, fire, atcos,...

Re: Will Belgian unions go on strike for 0,3% salary increas
The question is: is a strike normal because the request for a salary increase of 0,3% apparently has been refused? Why scr.. the passengers for 2 or 12 or 24 hours? OR is the question : Why are the managers risking a strike for 0.3%? Maybe because 0.3% for all employees translates to a nice bonus f...

Re: Where are the belgocontrol stats ?
The official answer is not much of an answer IMHO. La simple raison pour laquelle vous ne trouvez pas les statistiques sur notre site web depuis janvier 2011 est le fait que les statistiques de février et de mars n'ont pas encore été validées par la direction des OPS Makes you wonder why not? Le cal...

Re: Where are the belgocontrol stats ?
Maybe Belgocontrol management doesn't like what the stats say? Over the past year Belgocontrol management has used the decrease in traffic figures to push their employees to be more 'productive'. Their idea of cutting costs is use less people to do the same work. Since the traffic figures were on th...
