The newsletter (today) had no mention of Milan either...

Cesare, maybe you can fly one direction with Clickair and the other with Ryanair and do a comparison for us :)

When will be possible to book?
I wouldn't worry, I'm sure it'll be bookable soon. Just an oversight by the I.T. guys at Clickair I assume.

Interestingly, the route map shows a connection between Milan and Malaga. A mistake I would say....

Eindhoven base

I wonder how long before Eindhoven is a base. It has 8 routes now, which is more than Cork (which admittedly was only made a base to screw up EasjJet) and is fractionally less than Bremen (9 routes) and Stockholm (11 routes). This article briefly mentions why plans for an Ryanair Eindhoven base are...

None of the routes to be announced are similar to Easyjet Madrid routes.
Ryanair have been in negotiations with Madrid Barajas for months and months. This decision to base aircraft in Madrid was made a long time ago, ever before Easyjet announced it's Madrid base.

In all this Ryanair expansion, Charleroi (its first continental base, remember) seems to be stagnating! Ryanair have plans to expand at Charleroi and are, in fact, very eager to do so! The size of the current terminal is holding them back for the moment. They will base 2 more aircraft at Charleroi ...

very interesting, when did Air Lingus begin to fly this route? It's a new development. Aer Lingus currently offer direct flights from JFK to Shannon and Dublin in Ireland. Traditionally they have also offered flights from JFK to a number of UK destinations via Dublin. Now, they have revised this st...

For me the annunce of new base in Bremen is the end of a possible one in Lubeck and will be a progressive closing of route from LBC that will be moved to BRE. I'm not convinced. Bremen and Lubeck are 112km apart with MILLIONS of people inbetween. I think both could serve as Ryanair bases and be (in...

Hmmmmmm.... you mean that they have no plans to reintroduce it, or what??? It was dropped months ago already. I'm going next weekend with Virgin. Really cheap too, can't complain.

It is not Ryanair insisting on Passports but rather the security / airport / government authorities. I'm not sure exactly which authorities, but I know Ryanair are pushing them to allow ID cards be used with web check-in.

Didn't VLM fly from Antwerp to Geneva before? Pity that it didn't continue. Moreover, some competition on Brussels/Belgium to Zurich would be very welcome indeed!

Do you think they would open a base in Ciudad Real ? That's 210 km away from Madrid. There's been a lot of talk of this, but too early to speculate as the airport is not built yet. And would they be allowed to call it "Madrid South"? Unlikely... Also heard that there are plans afoot to bu...

Colours are bit too pale for my liking. Not the worst livery though...

In fact, they would want to hurry up and get their website up and running. They are losing bookings every day at this stage!
