Re: Which future fighter jet for Belgian Defence?
... and the French basically used pure blackmail on the Dexia-file in case we don't go for Rafale ... The compensation they offer is nothing else than a catalogue of large existing investment the French have here already (energy, etc ...). Read Geert Noels opinion about it some weeks ago in De Tijd ...

Re: 15/06/2017 Blackout at Brussels Airport
What was the dividend BAC paid out? EUR 100 mio? Scandalous ... but as always in Belgium, responsibility will remain to be "determined". As always in situations like this, under-investment in non-revenue generating activities (like the grid, or security), will come to haunt you one day. Th...

Re: Chaos and long queues at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol
I use Schiphol nearly every month, and over the last 2 years have witnessed the explosion in passengers. The attraction of using Schiphol for non-Schengen flights (like the ones I take to Moscow, Almaty, Kiev with the SkyTeam Group) was always the security check at the gate. Since that is over combi...

.. Cancelled all flights for 2017 ... December trip LUX-IST-GYD resulted in very infected eardrums with repitive otitis ... One advise: never take a plane when you have a heavy cold/flu .... the air pressure will make you cry like a baby ... Until full doctor's green light, I have to stay away from ...

Re: Experiences on Turkish Airlines long haul?
I fly TK regularly to Central Aia (Tbilis, Baku, Almaty, Tashkent). Now that they have a direct to LUX I do have a wide range of connections in the region I do business. I have flown nearly all their planes in Y and C. Onbaord service is a hit or miss. Their catering is very repititive and crew atti...

Re: Reopening Brussels Airport after the 22/03/2016 terror attacks
Here at our shop all business travel from and to BRU is stopped as well, and I can ensure we are heavy users. I fully understand BRU supporters, but let's be honest, even prior to 22/3 BRU was not a popular airport amongst the travel community and the travel experience "end to end" from BR...

Re: easyJet to Moscow
Overall prices to Moscow have dropped significantly over the last years, with the offer having multiplied. I fly Moscow nearly every month (mainly Lux-Fra-DME on LH). It is often easy to find a EUR 350 return, without Saturday rule. Far cheaper than other main European business destinations. For tha...

Re: BRU Summer 2015: latest news, routes, airlines
My company would happily pay to fly me to Brussels. I need to go from Lux every month twice to Brussels for one or two meetings. Train: that means leaving at 0600 am to see every village in the Ardennes and arrive 3 hours later in Brussels. Same thing on the way back. Car: means leaving at 0500 AM a...

What are the access requirements for those on a non C-class ticket? is M&M Frequent Traveller enough, or do you need to be Senator/Gold? The Star Alliance rules differ from airport to Airport .. In Lux, Zurich, Munich, Frankfurt, Frequent Traveller is godo to enter lounges, but not in Vienna .. ...

Re: short flight report BRU-AGP-BRU with SN in C-class
Like on LX and LH, in C-on European flights, we don't ask for pre-selected meals (to troublesome) , not a single business traveller will ask this. We are already happy with the choice between 2 options on the plane itself, which was now not even the case at SN

Hi all, after accumulating well over 400K M&M airmiles and purchasing property at the Costa del Sol, no more excuses not to try our national airline, Brussels Airlines for the first time. Since living in Luxembourg since 2001, I hardly use Zaventem any more, and only used SN Brussels Airlines in...
