Re: BRU Summer 2020: news, new routes, airlines

Atlantis it is off topic but important to tell it. Radom Airport is not going to be the Polish mega Airport. Radom is like Lelystad for Amsterdam. The Mega Airport is 40km far from Warsaw. Hi TLspotting, Radom Airport itself not, what I referred to is that the new mega airport will be close to Rado...

Re: BRU Summer 2020: news, new routes, airlines

I read the article on "Budapest secures boost with Shanghai airlines" ... daily flights to Shanghai. On the other hand BRU the airport which serves a tourist city and an important political capital: zero flight! Let's look for the mistake! Some countries in East of Europe, have a significant diaspo...

Re: Transavia to fly from BRU with 2 Boeing 737s in Summer 2020

People/members are very easy in talking here in giving discounts. Sorry but maybe this is the casy in your company. But if you don't have a clue how aviation works then it's better to not write anything. As I wrote many times, IF there would be a decision in giving help/benefits or whatever then you...

Re: BRU Summer 2020: news, new routes, airlines

Does BRU really have a say in this? If an airline requests slots, can they be denied based on the destination? BRU has a say in this, of course. Those requests comes in by the slot coordination center. Then a whole investigation starts as a lot of criteria has to be followed. This is a whole proced...

Re: BRU Summer 2020: news, new routes, airlines

I wonder why BRU airport thinks there's any need for yet another operator to say Malaga or Alicante? Next to Ryanair, Vueling, Jetair and Brussels Airlines? Really??? As 737MAX rightfully says, they're not going to grow the market, just pissing off airlines which have been building their ope...

Re: BRU Summer 2020: news, new routes, airlines

It's confirmed by Tuifly that Miami will be back in service as from 31 March 2020. The route will be twice a week on Tuesday and Saturday. An other new route which they will start up is Brussels - Pula in Croatia. You have to force it in TUI booking system but indeed they head back to Miami from 4 ...

Re: [Fake news] TUI Group to cooperate with Brussels Airlines from Summer 2020

Maybe the news came out too soon. They are both flying to certain same destinations, so it could make sense during next Summer season to have this extra capacity. The source from where it came, and which Aviation24 also took over, is a very reliable one. I think it's all very sensitive for the moment.

TUI Group to cooperate with Brussels Airlines from Summer 2020 ?

Tui will cooperate with Brussels Airlines as from next Summer season.

For this Winter, Tui has enough capacity. But as from next Summer, TUI will need extra capacity as they intend to take over 80% of the clients of Thomas Cook.
SN has this free capacity now

Re: Brussels Airlines in 2019

Jetter please... You are comparing apples with pears. Less flights since Sabena is in general for all airlines who are flying to BRU. This is for everybody Increasing business flights for SN I'm saying this already for a long time. This means also decrease the number of leisure flights. Regional fli...

Re: Brussels Airlines in 2019

Less flights are even better, more pax per bigger plane is much more convenient for the whole environment. Less flights are also much better for the fact that the airport has a lot of margin to grow. The plafond is not reached yet. And this makes us more attractive then our neighbour airports. So w...

All bridges at the B pier will be double bridges. This is a project of 52 million euro.
Only stand 233 is a triple one.

Everything will be finished at the end of 2022. It goes in phases as everything is in operation

Re: Brussels Airlines in 2019

To business destinations you need to have daily flights and the best are twice daily. On this way you can offer to your pax the needed flexibility. Now they just take the competition bcs of very flexible hours and frequentie. Their route network is a mess as too much leisure destinations. Drop them ...

Re: Brussels Airport's potential cooperation with Brussels Airlines

Living and doing business in Belgium with 5 governments is making everything more complicated and very slow in action. To give again the example of Poland, LOT polish airlines received today their 15th B787. They have already a much bigger LH fleet then SN which is a West European country. In 2012 t...

Re: Brussels Airlines' fleet renewal

The number of flights are not saying anything. We have much more pax now, close to 26 million a year, with less flights. Why? Bcs operators, airlines are use much bigger airplanes then in the time of Sabena. Less flights are even better, more pax per bigger plane is much more convenient for the whol...

Re: Brussels Airlines' fleet renewal

But like we could read here like BRU has to invest more in SN is not possible bcs LH is the main share holder. It's a bit easy to say investment must come from the shareholder; in today's world, we speek about 'stakeholders' and this includes ALL beneficiaries, also those who do not OWN the company...

Try to go to Bru with heavy luggage from Ottignies (not a small station) No direct link. same for other parts of Belgium. Many points to review : lines, station, .... - no storage for bigger pieces of luggage in train cabins (overhead racks are made for small bags only, so the only solution is put ...
