Why is that?
Don't ask me, ask the management!
But it might well be because they need some cash.
As far as I know AB is not operating any cheaper than for example Wamos is

Edit: pricing any cheaper is better than “operating”

Re: Brussels Airlines in 2018

The staff I know from Brussels Airlines don't care how their airline is categorized on this forum = network airline or low cost airline. All they see is more passengers, more flights and larger aircraft. Then, like André, I am also talking to other people than you are. Most people I know want out a...

Re: Ryanair in 2018

Ryanair's first Boeing 737 MAX 200 aircraft (EI-HAT) has rolled out of Boeing's final assembly line. A "gamechanger" indeed: - 20% more cost efficient per seat - 5% lower operating costs than the 737 MAX 8 - reduce fuel consumption by up to 16% - Cattle class 2.0 - 3 toilets for 197 passengers http...

Re: Brussels Airlines in 2018

Indeed: Brussels Airlines failed this time. But such a failure is rare for them. And the SN-bashers (like you) never state that it's the airlines' CEO own fault when such things happen. Its funny to be called a “basher” as, when you read all of my posts, you will find both positive and negative abo...

But then: it's all brakes loose when Brussels Airlines can be critized...
Seems like the sort of relationship you have with every airline besides SN.

They didnt put on a great show in this case. It happens ... as it does in any other airline.

Re: The CityJet Sukhoi SSJ100-95 saga is hurting Brussels Airlines

I can understand that the company is looking for a more reliable plane on the lower end of aircraft sizes. On the other hand, the change from the SSJ to CRJ will be dreadful for passengers: crampy cabin, no space for hand luggage, no boarding via jetbridge... because apart from the somewhat higher ...

Re: Ryanair in 2018

Does that mean they’ll pay their taxes in Belgium, instead of Ireland? :? Social security is paid in Belgium, income tax as per double taxation agreement between Ireland and the country of residence of the employee. That's how it works now, yes.Would a Ryanair employee be able to benefit from the b...

If a new ground handler would step in and have a need to take over ex-Aviapartner staff, they may not necessarily feel obliged to take over those Aviapartner individuals that played a key role in this strike.
I certainly hope so

Re: 25-31/10/2018 Aviapartner strike at Brussels Airport

I did defend the strike at Ryanair strongly firstly, secondly I said I support the right to strike but only if the rules are followed, which would have allowed the customers of aviapartner to at least come up with a plan B. Thirdly, you can drop the personal insults

Re: 25-31/10/2018 Aviapartner strike at Brussels Airport

Strange that some people here seem to think they know me better than I do. You are very much mistaken. I Just have absolutely no sympathy for people that go on strike for a bonus they were promised to pay and for new equipment when their company does not have the financial means to cover that. No, t...

Re: 25-26-27-28-29/10/2018 Aviapartner strike at Brussels Airport

Sure I accept this this are numbers you can't discuss them but that's not the problem of the employees. Legacies from the past are the problem from all people working there . But even when I repeat that 10 times, you won't accept it. Sure, people are going through a difficult time there, with heavy...

Re: 25-26-27/10/2018 Aviapartner strike at Brussels Airport

No it’s not. It’s not Brussels airport that needs to do anything about workers that pay for aviapartner. Aviapartner needs to negotiate a contract which allows them to do their business properly. That’s not Brussels airport’s responsibility.

There is simply a lack of staff (like swissport as well) and they really have ...
