Re: Air Belgium in 2019

Just wondering: wat do the Hong Kong based businessmen, that owne of 49,9% of Air Belgium, think about their investment (10,3M) in an airline that has no link anymore with their country and that will not realize the initial business plan? I think they will be happy to see Air Belgium engaged in a p...

Technical issue ongoing with EW-2160? https://www.flightradar24.com/data/aircraft/d-abqq#1fe3363a https://www.flightradar24.com/data/aircraft/d-abqq Strange indeed. Where did this aircraft land? MST? FR24 doesn't show the end of the flight. Why this diversion? Fog? I know by (bad) experience that t...

Maybe about time this plane is grounded, especially since early indications are again related to pitch instability after take off.
I looked at the FR24 and thought that straight away. The similarities in pitch and speed are very obvious :?

Just like FlightSimmers, probably...
Years ago, I even landed a 747... ;)
Colleagues who fly/have flown the 747 say it's an easy plane to land.
Have you ever tried the 757 in Trump's colors? :-P :-P
dont mention Trump, passenger will throw his toys out of the pram again ;)

Now UK CAA has grounded the 73M as well. Am I the only one in thinking the aviation authorities know more than we do? I cant be just public pressure?

Maybe too early for that sort of early speculation.
It's not speculation, early analysis of flight data show again oscilliations in altitude and speed, as with the Lion air crash. 346 dead people in a few months time with possibly the same underlying cause, that should trigger a bigger response.

Rumour: skyes to go on strike at 23h00 local?
According to vrt-nieuws: service suspended for lack of available staff. Reportedly, many reported sick.
Confirmed until 05Z, possibly longer if more people call sick during night/morning

There is no reason why an effort shouldnt be made to get those people on their holiday on time, therefore my statement: cancellin...

Meanwhile TUI manages to operate a full schedule from alternate airports. Pro tip for SN staff: if you want to become a successful ‘national’ airline despite LH’s efforts to turn you into a low cost franchise you don’t go on strike for vague reasons! :| SN staff will not strike (except maybe a few lost exceptions), the cancelations are because basically 'everyone else' i...
