Parliament and all relevant ministers (European and belgian) have been addressed multiple times from the side of the air traffic controllers, to no avail. We are the requesting party in getting politics involved. We were asking party to get mediators Involved in social "dialogue" too. Getting a bit...

Re: Social actions at air traffic control service skeyes (Belgium) - possible air traffic disruptions

I see that the whole Belgian press is reporting about the closure of Belgian airspace at night, almost a daily feature in newspapers. It might be simpler to announce when airspace remains open the whole night! Some explanation from ACV/CSC representative : https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbi...

Re: Brussels Airlines in 2019

As far as I know it was a so-called sponsorship of De Persgroep. Brussels Airlines itself paid nothing for the newspapers on board and in the lounges.

So, if I understand correctly, the start of the summer season means also the start of the integration of Brussels Airlines in Eurowings. Or am I wrong?

Re: Social actions at air traffic control service skeyes (Belgium) - possible air traffic disruptions

Are there any new discussions planned? What's the way forward at the moment? This morning, management has asked the Ministry of Labour to name a social conciliator (or mediator, or whatever you name this person). But at the same time, it asks for the cessation of all actions. ACV asked for a concil...

Re: WOW Air has ceased operations, all flights cancelled and filing for bankruptcy

Former SN-spokesman on his Facebook-page: A year ago, the VRT brought all the resources for a Pano over aviation. One of the insights was that WOW Air was still an example for the future ... A camera crew even went to Reijkavik for a "portrait" of that Icelandic future. Real experts who have long se...

Re: Social actions at air traffic control service skeyes (Belgium) - possible air traffic disruptions

In the meantime, our country is in a this situation because people can't agree on what working 2 nights and one day shift means... It's paid as 5 days, it's worth 35 hours (= a full week of work for going 3 times to work) and it means working around 12 hours on position (big maximum 4 hours per shi...

ACV-Transcom asks to appoint a mediator at Skeyes/Belgocontrolfor for the points that are still being discussed with ACV. This within a well-agreed framework and with the commitment to suspend ongoing actions during the mediation period.

Re: Social actions at air traffic control service skeyes (Belgium) - possible air traffic disruptions

Sad indeed... Controllers have been fighting with each new management (and there has been quite a few since the creation of Belgocontrol). Some have kept the mentalities (and the privileges) of the old RLW/RVA which was run by the State. Skeyes (ex-Belgocontrol) is probably the last such company th...
