Re: BRU infrastructure: future

I picked up an unconfirmed rumour that Lufthansa Technik may reduce or end some of their maintenance activities at BRU. They would abandon the former TEAMCO hangar, which would then be taken over by neighbouring DHL. The hangar would no longer be used for aircraft maintenance, but rather for contain...

Re: Abnormalities in BRU-ANR-CRL-LGG-OST in 2018

Kalitta CKS244 operating BAH-BRU on behalf of DHL has always been taking the shorter route over Turkey. Since a few weeks CKS244 has been obliged to take a considerably longer route over Egypt. Kalitta seems to have a traffic rights issue with Turkey, possibly due to geopolitical tensions between Tu...

Re: Air Belgium in 2018

A few years ago The Aviation Factory had to reposition a CRJ200 from BRU to ANR. They offered all the available seats for free to anyone who responded to their Facebook invitation. I was on this flight and had a very nice experience, even though it was an evening flight in darkness. It might be a go...

Re: Brucargo 2018 news

For several months Emirates Cargo had been operating some of their ORD-BRU-DXB rotations with a Cargolux B744. Emirates is still using Cargolux to ORD, but apparently flights are now operating through MST instead of BRU.

Re: 05/04/2018 BRU

The LATAM 767 left MIA for BRU around the same time as the KLM 747 for AMS. While the 4 engined 747 can immediately start crossing the Atlantic, the two engined 767 is apparently obliged to first follow the US coast line, before being able to cross the Atlantic at a more Northern point.

Re: Brucargo 2017: cargo routes, news

"Which airline ?"
CW = Air Cargo Global
F5 = Aerotranscargo

Maybe they just make a technical stop there to pick up some cheap fuel.

Erna, my best guess is that you saw a B744 of Singapore Airlines Cargo heading to Sharjah.

This flight SQ7973 departed BRU at 13:33.

Re: Abnormalities in BRU-ANR-CRL-LGG-OST in 2017

UA951/21OCT departed with 4 hours delay because of technical issues. The aircraft had been pushed out twice, but twice it had to immediately return to the gate.
