Re: BRU 21/09/2018

Ok, honestly guys, since I am not to believe that you made up so much bullsh*t yourselves with all this false info on the E2 flight: who fed you with the wrong information? It sounds like Radio Yerivan! Question to Radio Yerivan: "Is it true that an Embraer E2 arrives today around 1600 to BRU to be ...

Re: EC Regulation 261/2004: news & court verdicts

On the positive note: On 23. August this year, my LH flight JNB-FRA was severely delayed, due to the VERY late arrival of the aircraft: the FRA-JNB flight was delayed by 11 hrs, however as the aircraft is usually parked in JNB for a couple of hours, my flight was "just" around 5,5 hrs late. Of cours...

Re: BRU 21/09/2018

Great news! The big question is: 25L or 25R? "...and will be parked at Abelag/Luxaviation" would speak for 25R because of the shorter taxiway.

Re: Brussels Airlines in 2018

It has nothing to do with insider knowledge. Big Brother is/was a reality show. One of the participants, Betty, started working as a flight attendant for Brussels Airlines earlier this year, this has gained widespread attention in the (mainly Flemish) media. Hm. Better in the "trivia" thread, then?...

Re: Brussels Airlines' fleet renewal

Or will people now also complain that a wet-lease 'customer' on which SN is making a specific profit margin demands to have aircraft in their own livery?! Totally agree! I somehow missed this kind of "motivated by an extra portion of national pride" ranting and whining you mentioned when SN got the...

Oh yes, 747 are always a nice sight - as was this one, replacing an AOG Dreamliner of TUIfly Belgium on the flight to Cancun:

Re: Brussels Airlines' fleet renewal

I hope the fleet renewal means also a better fleet management. With some evening flights constantly being significantly delayed and weekend flights suddenly cancelled, the performance of SN has seen better days. The well-known "due to late arrival of the aircraft from previous destination"-excuse is...

Re: Brussels Airlines in 2018

Hello, Since 1st Sept there is no longer Brussels Airlines Cargo (082-prefix for Airwaybill numbers). It is all replaced by Lufthansa Cargo (020-prefix). As a result: A TOTAL EMBARGO FOR CARGO ON BRUSSELS AIRLINES TO KINSHASA. Rumours go President Kabila does not want Lufthansa in his country. True...

Aeroflot plans to increase the number of SSJ100s in its fleet to 50, up from current 45. Aeroflot still has confidence in this aircraft (maybe it has to...). It will buy 100 (one hundred!) more. https://www.aviation24.be/airlines/aeroflot/aeroflot-and-united-aircraft-corporation-sign-agreement-for-...

Re: France 24 (news channel) story on plane spotting

* Yes, a Wednesday afternoon would be better for meeting spotters; though mostly dilettants, probably. Weekend would be even better, in my limited experience. As pointed out by Vic, best of all would be to wait for some "very special" visitor aeroplane. At whatever day or hour, that will bring out ...

Re: France 24 (news channel) story on plane spotting

What are the chances of finding spotters at BRU on a Tuesday or Wednesday morning? Rather slim, I'd say: weekday/workday, so unless there is any very special aircraft arriving or departing, there won't be much traffic on both of the spottersplaats. Plus it also depends on the weather, so it is not ...

Austrian Airlines to adjust schedules for winter flight plan

Austrian Airlines announced their winter flight schedule 2018/2019. It will see increased frequencies to German destinations, not necessarily to hubs - but also to Denmark, Ukraine and Greece. Eastern European destinations will see increased frequencies as well, especially in Ukraine. On the longhau...

Unfortunately, that was a sunshine-free performance... the formations were impressive though, especially the F-16s displaying a huge "5" to salute the 5th anniversary of the King.
