Re: Social actions at air traffic control service skeyes (Belgium) - possible air traffic disruptions

Tweet from senior aviation journalist Luk De Wilde, after last Thursday's strike started and before the court ordered the end of the strike: https://twitter.com/lukdewilde/status/1128973046759546882 Is this guy still credible ? He' has been bashing controllers from day one. And he is a very good fr...

Re: Social actions at air traffic control service skeyes (Belgium) - possible air traffic disruptions

Yet people forget unions ARE politics. There is no difference. Representatives are elected, they have a color, and have advantages coming with the position. From the moment you chose a union, you are "colored" and you "join ranks". ...... No need to make a difference between unions and politics her...

Re: Social actions at air traffic control service skeyes (Belgium) - possible air traffic disruptions

It seems like not all atco’s are a problem, but mainly the Christian ones have a poor and selfish mentality. So much for looking not only after yourself as Christian value. It’s ACV that callled for the wildcat strike today, while the socialists already agreed on a deal. Maybe banning religi...

Re: Social actions at air traffic control service skeyes (Belgium) - possible air traffic disruptions

On the RTBF TV news (13h) they said an agreement was reached between ACV and skeyes CEO to renegociate last week's agreement (the one only approved by ACOD/CGSP) An official statement from skeyes is expected ! https://www.rtbf.be/auvio/detail_arret-de-travail-chez-skeyes-l-espace-aerien-belge-est-a-...

What is the current status for LGE and CRL? Same grounded for the moment?
I guess so, if ACC is not available, nearly impossible for commercial traffic to reach or escape from those airports.
Although it looks like a FedEx B777 from Shanghai PVG managed to land at LGG at 11h30 LT.

Re: Social actions at air traffic control service skeyes (Belgium) - possible air traffic disruptions

According to the management of Belgian air navigation service provider Skeyes an agreement has been reached with the unions representing the air traffic controllers. I'd rather rephrase it this way : an agreement has been reached with one union (ACOD/CGSP) representing nearly none of the air traffi...

Not sure I understand why Air Fancy flew around.
MUAC takes over above FL245, no?

H.A.
Due to high demand during summer season, some city pair flights are refused by MUAC : AMS-CDG, DUS-CDG for instance.

Has nobody been sick for the past three days?
Isn't that a bit strange?
Sick, I don't know. But staff shortage remains :
still restrictions implemented this week-end !
ATCO's calling sick might be fake news eventually 😉
