First time, and probably last one. Even Ryanair is better!

You won't be travelling much if you don't want to fly on an A320 with 180 seats.
Even LH, LX and SN have them.

Re: Brussels Airlines introduces one-way fares at 39 euro

I was looking at a one way flight in June, cheapest fare 150€. The same flights are available on a return ticket for 69€ Return! The 39€ seems only available if booked more than two months ahead. That's what we call Revenue Management: selling the right fare at the right time by continuously fine t...

Re: Reopening Brussels Airport after the 22/03/2016 terror attacks

Gentlemen, could you please play the ball (and answer to the comments) rather than the player? It would help a lot if you just delete all the posts in which the man is played. In soccer the most beautiful goal is invalid if there was a fault. Deleting entire posts, without any favoritism, is the on...

Re: Reopening Brussels Airport after the 22/03/2016 terror attacks

Exactly the same sense (logic?) as grabbing a half-full bottle of water from the hands of a mom with a 6 month baby. You do this on grounds of security as it may be an attempt to bring an explosive device on board an aircraft. I can buy that. Then you throw the bottle in a bin behind you and everyb...

Re: Lufthansa to decide on 27 April whether to take over all of Brussels Airlines

Pfff... My guess is that negociations were ongoing, and probably going well between LH and SN to go for the complete take-over. It's not like LH can just say, ok, now we want the rest, here is the money, give us all you've got... That may have been possible when SN was losing €80m, but no more. SN ...

Re: Reopening Brussels Airport after the 22/03/2016 terror attacks

Specially because KLM has started a new campaign: all Belgian KLM passengers get a free train ticket from whatever Belgian railway station to AMS Schiphol (r/t). That's a knife in the back of all Belgians, but it is not surprising from the Dutch : for them, business is business, whatever the circum...

Re: Lufthansa to decide on 27 April whether to take over all of Brussels Airlines

If Lufty believes in a future for SN they will buy on the 27th. If they don't, a Sabena bis scenario can't be excluded. (transfer intra EU slots for 1€ to Eurowings and transfer Africa to a new Belgian Company). These rumours would explain the recent visit of Mr Spohr to the Royal Palace. It was an ...

Re: Reopening Brussels Airport after the 22/03/2016 terror attacks

Hi all, Regarding the question, do you really need the three hours, my answer is: no. I didn't need the two hours they advised before the attacs either ! I went to FRA last Tuesday and this is what I did. 06:45 - Leaving home 07:00 - On the train 07:12-07:20 small delay (train was there but was wai...

Re: EC Regulation 261/2004: news & court verdicts

Did SN re-imburse passenger departing from ANR and LGG? Also totally unacceptable? Or is it allowed then? What do you think? I had a SN flight cancelled in the aftermath of the attacks. I tried 100 times to contact SN help desk: unsuccessful, went to the airport desk abroad: unable to help, ...

Re: Lufthansa to decide on 27 April whether to take over all of Brussels Airlines

So what can we expect from the press conference on the 27th of april? Is LH gonna say what its intentions/plans are for SN (and BRU) after the takeover? Or will they stay vague? I'm sure the staff wants total clarity. That is an easy one: "Lufty is very happy to acquire SN. Many possibilities of sy...

Re: Lufthansa to decide on 27 April whether to take over all of Brussels Airlines

What is more important, however, is the fact that they are (yet to be confirmed) exercising their option now. They could have waited 1 (or maybe 2-some people indicate 2018 as deadline-) more year(s) and maybe buy the remaining shares at a discount, given the expected fall of SN's profit (if not a ...

Re: Belgocontrol ATC strike from 12 April 2016

Whilst I find the reaction of the ATCOs totally misplaced in today's environment, I find it also misplaced of Belgocontrol and the governement to abuse the situation. Suspending the agreement is the least one could expect. Those advocating a, Reagan like, sacking of the ATCOs have to realise that nu...

Re: Belgocontrol ATC strike from 22 April 2016

IS it true that the military atc in Melsbroek could take over (part of) the duties of Belgocontrol? Or do they also rely on Belgocontrol? There is no Melsbroek ATC. The military hangars are in Melsbroek, whilst the civil terminal is in Zaventem, but they both use the same runways and airspace of Br...
