Re: Air Belgium in 2018
BTW: Does anyone finds it odd that the registrations seem to be temporary? They seem to be placed over another registration?

Re: Air Belgium: a rebirth?
If I am nog mistaking, a real flag is also mirrored on one of both sides! 🤔 You are correct: Captain's side (left): correct order Co-pilot's side (right): backward order This because a flag on a "vessel" (ship, plane) is seen floating in the wind with the nose/bow being the flag mast. The...

Re: VLM Airlines news 2018
but my guess is the Antwerp will keep the VLM name It might be the other way around, the fact that they changed their name to VLM Regional could suggest that an agreement between the 2 companies was made and that ex-TCAB got the VLM brand out of the deal. The Antwerp operation is actually still SHS...

Re: Air Belgium: a rebirth?
Seems that the Belgian flag besides the registration is backwards contrary to virtually any other airline in the industry. You have to give it to them, they are persistent in having the wrong flag on their planes
(OK, i'll stop mentioning it now, guess it's my tiny OCD issue)

Re: BRU infrastructure: future
Wouldn't it have been better to renew the bridges in the B terminal first before installing the A380 bridge. Or renovating the bridges in the A? How old are these bridges ? Floor is damaged , warming is not working. Last week I arrived in the A and the aircro was working , it was ice cold in the br...

Re: Air Belgium: a rebirth?
According to VRT De Redactie the reason why they didn't get the AOC was because Air Belgium hadn't a plane registered to them?

Re: VLM Airlines news 2018
2)Will VLM Brussels not have to look for another name anyway? As it will be a different legal entity than the 'real' VLM in Antwerp/maribor. Chances are it can be the other way around, ex-TCAB is officially VLM Airlines NV while the Antwerp operation is officially SHS Antwerp Aviation NV (doing bus...

Re: Air Belgium: a rebirth?
Played a bit with the filename and found one for VLM Regional: https://mobilit.belgium.be/sites/default/files/DGLV/be.mg_.27.pdf Strange thing is that also mention an AOC number, but this is B-3054 while Air Belgium has B-3053 which is a lower number, the CAMO certificate of VLM dates back to Januar...

https://mobilit.belgium.be/sites/default/files/DGLV/be.mg_.28.pdf It's something but it isn't the AOC (yet). It even specifically says "This approval does not constitute an authorization to operate the types of aircrafts referred in paragraph 1. The authorization to operate the aircraft is the...

Re: Air Belgium: a rebirth?
You don't need an AOC to register a plane. The sole things needed to register a plane are valid paperwork (concerning that particular plane). If you personally (or through a company/organisation) want to register a plane and you have valid paperwork for set plane there's nothing that limits the BCAA...
