Re: Brussels Airlines in 2019

You are correct. They need the feeder flights. Holiday destinations eurowings, feeder flights brussels airlines. In the press was mentioned that brussels airlines did not have a 360 degrees long haul hub and that was a reason for not being considered like a netWork carrier. So Brussels Airlines wil...

Re: Strikes affecting Belgian airports in 2019

It's always the same discussion but the employees have to work in normal conditions and nothing more and that's all they ask for and that's how it's going to be. Ultraliberalism here reaches its limits...and that while Brussels Airport makes tremendous profits it's outrageous I think it's disgustin...

What would happen in Belgium aviation if the country split?

For my part I will not fly more true Brussels Airport that would be in Flanders.
In fact a part of my family that lives in Liege doesn't fly anymore through Brussels Airport.
I was curious how others would react?

Re: Strikes affecting Belgian airports in 2019

The figures for 2018 (Swissport Belgium nv/sa) haven't been published yet, but the losses over 2016 and 2017 show that there is little room for more staff and/or a salary increase, as the trade unions demand: result: 2017 : - 4.745.162 € result 2016 : - 6.455.069 € So it's bad management. Or maybe ...

Do somebody knows if there is Wi Fi in the new planes?
one some new planes there's a wifi antenna but this feature isn't activated by SN as they want to keep the inflight experience standard.
that's a shame a missed opportunity....even with TAAG we have Wi Fi!!!!

Re: Brussels Airport (BRU): Star Alliance and Oneworld under one roof?

Delta is the only one of Skyteam who is upgrading from time to time. It's a pity that we will not see their A330 at BRU, but who knows. But more than two destinations we will not see of them, I'm afraid The other Chinese carriers in Skyteam has a too strong bound with KLM, so better is to rely on H...

Re: Brussels Airport (BRU): Star Alliance and Oneworld under one roof?

Impressive summary, Atlantis. They are worth looking at, because Delta has always been a strong contender in BRU with its two major hubs in JFK and ATL drawing throngs of travellers. Delta is the only one of Skyteam who is upgrading from time to time. It's a pity that we will not see their A330 at ...

Re: BRU Winter 2019-2020: news, new routes, airlines

Brussels Airlines will operate 5 flights a week to Kigali, instead of 6 (during the last IATA Winter season), from 28 October 2019 to 28 March 2020. The 6 weekly service will be back, from 31 March 2020. I don't think it's related with the arrival of Egyptair, in Rwanda, in April 2019, which now se...

Re: Brussels Airport (BRU) infrastructure: future

That's way with not to much to invest you can use the satellite even maybe for long haul flights because it's next to the B pier.

I even think it will bring enough capacity and maybe pier A west will not be necessary and it will be so much cheaper.

Re: Brussels Airlines in 2019

In my opinion a piece of the puzzle is missing here the Belgium government did not help at all Brussels Airlines and Brussels Airport after the terrorist attacks. They should have invested millions then because everything was working well Brussels Airlines that year should make around 50 million pro...

Re: Brussels Airport (BRU) infrastructure: future

The next point, comes always back, is the direct connection of the E40 from Leuven to BRU. Working on the airport, I very much welcome the idea. But is there already any idea on how it would run? Because between the airport and the E40 there is some pretty densely populated area. About A-pier West,...
