Re: Anomalies in BRU-ANR-CRL-LGG-OST in 2019

Just a question how do they do with the passengers to FIH?
There are not enough seats to put them all to the flight of the next day!

To North American destinations it's easier but for the African destinations do they put them on Air France?

Re: Anomalies in BRU-ANR-CRL-LGG-OST in 2019

Today it looks it's the turn of Douala to be cancelled?!
Looks like more than 10% of the long haul flights of this summer where cancelled!(I can not prove that but it's approximately true I think)
It's time to do something ....

Re: Brussels Airlines in 2019

I'm rather astonished to see the little reactions regarding Thomas Cook / Neckermann future financial woes... and possible bankruptcy. This will for sure greatly impact SN's financials and its operations. They have adapted their A32F fleet capacity in accordance to the Thomas Cook take-over. If Tho...

Re: Brussels Airlines in 2019

They wanted/bought SN for their ridiculous Eurowings project. Now that has failed they don't have a clue what to do with it. Maybe they should just sell it to a company that is genuinely interested in BRU's home carrier. IAG? AF-KL? They bought SN even before there was any Eurowings low-cost projec...

Re: Brussels Airport (BRU) infrastructure: future

The present utilisation is rather unfortunate: the IC trains from Dinant and Charleroi have the airport station for their terminus, which makes them stand there for quite a long while which is not a very efficient way to use this expensive infrastructure. There should be more trains like the Antwer...

Re: 2019 Antwerp Airport (ANR/EBAW) latest news

Don't think VFR - think diamond trade. I've always said this and I still cling to it: this airport does not stand a chance as "just another airport", it is indeed too near the big ones that are very well connected by rail and road. Only as a specialised business airport can it have an effective rol...

I guess that lumumba meant "airports managed by Flanders", as opposed to BRU, located in Flanders but considered as a national airport.
That's the case but nevertheless Brussels Airport is in Flanders.

Re: Brussels Airlines in 2019

An airline with it's core business flying to Africa should plan to have some Febreze on hand. Seems to me like the sound of monkey shouts in a stadium...  It’s not an insult or bias, just a factual observation I’m sure many can confirm. Thus no, not like monkey shouts at all. Wha...

Re: BRU Summer 2020: news, new routes, airlines

SN should open more direct flights to business destinations with a high frequency When they can't fill the planes that would be a loss-making strategy, so it would be stupid to do so... And why focus on connecting passengers flying to business destinations, and thereby neglecting leisure travelers ...
