Re: Impact of the coronavirus crisis on aviation

Open letter from the Belgian aviation society (at BRU): SOS ! https://www.tijd.be/opinie/algemeen/SOS-luchtvaart/10224033 (update with content: soon...) Why didn't the CEOs of Air Antwerp and Air Belgium, and those of ANR, CRL, LGG, OST sign this letter? Then it would really be representing the who...

Re: Brussels Airlines in 2020

As much as I think that owing a blocking minority share or even the nationalisation of Brussels Airlines would be beneficial, I seriously doubt whether one of both will happen. Spohr doesn't want governments to become shareholders and LH doesn't want to give up SN to lose its control over Brussels ...

But also writing in newspapers regularly so also a journalist! Anyway has a economist it makes it even wor...

Re: Launch of Starlink-6 planned this 22APR evening.

Yes the cluster was deployed from the rocket only 15 minutes after launch but it does indeed take more time for the satellites to deploy and even more for each to reach its position in orbit. Amazing that SpaceX had placed a camera catching live these events : Starlink-6 Cluster Deployment.png Laun...

Re: Ryanair (Holdings) in 2020

Looks like Ryanair is very strong financially in this crisis they are not making noise and not asking for money!

I would be impressed if they could get out of this without help from no one.

Re: Brussels Airlines in 2020

These guys should learn to sh**** up when they don’t know what they are talking about. Like Noels should have done when he wrote that crap about the 737 MAX. 346 people have been killed because of designer errors and certification issues with the 737 MAX. Noels' analysis wasn't "crap" at all: as a ...

Re: Brussels Airlines in 2020

Planes = pollution = not good  Bit of topic but anyway. Aviation is generated huge amount of CO2, it's polluting a lot, but still this is the greatest option if you need to go overseas. Example, if you want to go from London to New York, 2 possibilities, plane or Queen Mary II, and in that ca...

Re: [Coronavirus] State aid for (European) airlines ?

Who decides, who the government is and bla-bla-bla is not to be discussed here. Point. It is, however, relevant when the main backing of the minority government is made up of parties who are at the very least not aviation friendly and who consider BRU as a burden. Nothing has happened yet. It would...
