Re: New SNBA routes

SWISS broke its neck in Tirana and Sarajevo ... Minsk and Kishinev (I would say Chisinau: they hate the Russians and their language) are hardly democracies. None of these places wouod be a good choice. Tallinn? Maybe! Another destination in the Baltic States... I don't think Tirana was a bad destin...

Hi,

Not unlogic to start more flights from AMS. Does anyone know if they also start new routes from BRU?

I saw that they've reduced the number of flights to Athens (quite normal after holday period) from 3 to 1 daily. What will these planes be used for?

Hi,

I think this is very clever to introduce more flights to East Europe. There will be for sure more trafic between those countries even if e;g. Bulgaria will not be yet a member (still candidate).

Hi, The news on the SNBA/VEX collaboration was again on the news today (Radio 1). I did not write down the words literally, but they said: - SNBA and VEX are informally talking about a merger again - The talks were on demand of a major Bank - VEX confirmed the talks - SNBA did not want to comment ye...

O Dear ... I read with some delay the 'news' about the 'ideas' of Guy VH. Several problems with this 'idea': first of all there is currently no real need for it. :? Secondly, preparing large scale works like new airports needs a true spatial planning ! This is totally absent. If you look at t...

By the way I have recently heard (yesterday to be precise) that if nothing changes in the mean time, we will go back to ROB (Monrovia) as from the 1st of October.

Happy landings
Bravo767,

This is good news. Do you know whether other airlines are flying to the same destination?

Hi Bravo767,

Thanks for the information !! It looks like that for final decisions regarding Birdy this will be seen in the next few months ...

For the VEX story, I guess: just wait and see ...

Collaboration SNBA/VEX, SNBA buying Birdy ??

Dear all, This is what I found on De Standaard. It referes to an article in the FET. Does anyone have more info if this is true. Or are this just rumours? BRUSSEL - Virgin Express heeft SN Air Holding, de moedermaatschappij van SN Brussels Airlines (SNBA), gepolst om opnieuw te praten over samenwer...

This message was posted on the SNBA website: As from 7 December 2003 SN Brussels Airlines will insure one regular flight per week between Brussels and Mombasa, the second largest town in Kenya. At the same time, the tour operator Jet Air concluded a contract that allows its clients to travel on boar...

Hi, Checked the time table today for flights to Nairobi. I want to take a flight on November 8. I am lucky since in that week there are flights on the 7th and 8th (via Kigali) and on the 11th and 12th (via Entebbe). So indeed only 4 flights / week instead of the 6 flights. When I come back on Decemb...

I recently spoke to a very top manager of Birdy and a 4th airplaine is totally EXCLUDED despite the recent very good loads. FB. Why is this? Financial constraints ? Volareweb Bari - Brussels ?

Hi,

I've read on Just Planes web site that Volareweb will start flights Bari - Brussels from 26/10 onwards ...

Can anyone confirm this? Which airplane? Is Volareweb the same company as Volare?

If they come this is great news for BRU :)

This is great news ! :D

I planned to go next year to Sevilla. Even for my children this would be around 250 EUR. Now one of them will maybe take some friends. With this pass, they just pay a little bit more than half of the price (if you count also the taxes) !! :) + great service ...
