The overview of Airbus shows the SN fleet ("in operation") nicely at this source

22 A319
13 A320
4 A332
7 A333
1 A343

Status end of January ...

Re: BRU - Long haul & intercontinental in the medium-long term

Hi all, Seems like Indigo has Brussels also on its radar ... Could be in 2019, not this year. Re: Brussels Airlines' fleet renewal

I think they will add more frequencies to African destinations first (see statement CEO in b-inspired). makes sense to me. Especially by splitting routes such as Dakar-Banjul and Dakar-Conakry ... You are right on Boston. It is also a major research centre and the business traffic is amongst others ...

Re: Brussels Airlines' fleet renewal

Will the 4 A320 just be added or will they replace some of the A319 (of course after the summer season)?

Re: BRU airport monthly traffic figures in 2017

Interesting to follow the incoming figures for the top 100 European airports here ... https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_the_busiest_airports_in_Europe I think BRU will stay in its current position. Funny enough I think that BRU, VIE and DUS reached the 24,0 million mark at the same day (22/12/20...

Yes, but that is 'normal' since they increased flights from 5/w to 6/w

Re: BRU Summer 2018: news, new routes, airlines

Yet, I think they are different markets and destinations in their own right ... Don't forget you have, also quite close, Guangzhou. All these cities, although 'close' to each other have a massive population of around 34 million people: Guangzhou: 14 million Shenzhen: 12 million Hong Kong: 8 million ...

Re: Brussels Airlines in 2018

In the January issue of B-Inspired Bernard Gustin states in his welcome word: "... (in 2018) we also will offer increased flight frequencies to our existing African destinations ..." That seems to confirm the rumours that they will use an additional A330 this year (so start using one of the 'new ' A...

Re: BRU airport monthly traffic figures in 2017

Nice ! In 2017, BRU welcomed a total number of 23.056.066 passengers from January until november included. In december 2016 there where 1.684.147 passengers transported. As a projection, if an average increase of 5% is estimated on december 2016, BRU could welcome the account of 1.768.354 passenger...

Re: Alitalia near bankruptcy. Can it be saved?

Another important difference is that BRU has almost no traffic to 3 major EU airports: London (before the high speed trains I remember there were 1.35 million pax between BRU-London each year), Paris and Amsterdam, simply because we are very close. This are 'trunk' roads for many other airports, mar...

Re: Alitalia near bankruptcy. Can it be saved?

In terms of PAX BRU is bigger ( a little bit for sure :-) ) than VIE, no ? Yes, but that in itself doesn't say anything about the hub size of BRU vs. VIE, at BRU there is much more competition. The market share of OS at VIE is a lot bigger than SN's at BRU. I'm not sure about the market share when ...

Re: Alitalia near bankruptcy. Can it be saved?

And Bru could/should have a hub future as well as Vie (as a side issue) In terms of PAX BRU is bigger ( a little bit for sure :-) ) than VIE, no ? I don't think so. At least not in 2016. I think this year BRU might become a bit bigger, but it is not sure. See https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_t...

Re: The integration of Thomas Cook Airlines Belgium into SN

Maybe it is a mistake, but in the last edition of the B-Inspiration in-flight magazine I found an indirect indication (December issue) that SN would start also flights to Zadar in HR. I assume this would also be a result of the intensified collaboration with Tomas Cook ...

Hi all, Does anyone know what is the status of the planned extension of Pier A. I assume they are still working on the paper parts (ebvironmental permits, ...). Montreal AC B787-800 Various destinations in Caribbean TB B787-800 A350: Doha QR A350-900 Bangkok TG A350-900 Hong Kong CX A350-900 So for the time being B787 is in the lead ...
