Re: Brussels Airlines in 2018

Of course SN expanded - please try to stick to figures and not to emotions - Thomas Cook integration meant +10% expansion ...

What do you expect?

Re: The CityJet Sukhoi SSJ100-95 saga is hurting Brussels Airlines

The remaining CityJet's aircraft have been operating for SN as their last flights: - EI-FWB : stored in VCE since 11JUN18 - EI-FWD : stored in BRU since 20JUN18 What will happen with those aircraft in the future ? As per the same https://sites.google.com/site/lhgroupfleet/brussels one is in mainten...

Re: Brussels Airlines' fleet renewal

But LH has no spare aircraft; why would they give it some of them SN?

I think they will stick to the SSJ for the time being ... another solution will need more time.

Just my two cents

PS: BTW, I was on an CRJ900 yesterday and a lot less comfortable than the SSJ100 ...

Re: Brussels Airlines' fleet renewal

Maybe, but what makes you think/say that?

What could replace the SSJ. Some routes are thin and can't sustain A319, some airports can't host them ...

So what would be the solution.

Re: Brussels Airlines' fleet renewal

I see that SN plans to have more SSJ's

See https://sites.google.com/site/lhgroupfleet/brussels

I assume one remains for some time 'inactive', another would be a kind of reserve. 5 could become operational. Or would SN go for 7 in total?

Re: Brussels Airlines' fleet renewal

Hi all, I have a more general question on the 'preparation' of the 'new' A330 of SN. The painting is clear and it seems it can be done in many different places (FCO, ...). What else are they doing? On https://sites.google.com/site/lhgroupfleet/brussels you can see they are 'preparing' some of them a...

Re: Brussels Airlines in 2018

Free check-in of your hand luggage is already possible with SN from the begining of April ... We did it with the family when going to Venice. The problem is at the pax side who often taken too big bags (e.g. not respecting sizes) and then, when there seems not to be enough space in the overhead bins...

Re: TUI fly Belgium in 2018

Does anyone know if TB still offers Miami this summer season. Saw they have flights to Zanzibar (is this new?). Last summer season one of the flights to Miami was on Tuesday and tomorrow there seems no flight to Miami from BRU.

Re: Brussels Airlines in 2018

I don't think so, since LH is doing FRA and MUC, while SN took over HAM and BER (and Hannover ...)...

Makes sense to me ...

Re: Lufthansa in 2018

Some interesting reading, but also some emerging questions: https://investor-relations.lufthansagroup.com/en/finanzberichte/annual-report/2017.html I didn't read the whole annual report, might do that at a later stage. Here are some questions I have: 1) In the annual report, p21 is an interesting ta...

Re: Brussels Airlines in 2018

Hi convair, I think none, although of course they fly less to Kinshasa already; also they intended to fly more to East-Africa (don't remember the details though, if I remember well there were 2 additional frequencies/w there) ... The plan to fly more to Africa has been announced several times, at le...

Re: Brussels Airlines' fleet renewal

The overview of Airbus shows the SN fleet ("in operation") nicely at this source

http://www.airbus.com/aircraft/market/o ... eries.html

22 A319
13 A320
4 A332
7 A333
1 A343

Status end of January ...
