Re: Opening of low cost terminal postponed to 2011

LCC terminal will NEVER open, believe me . Good thing is that WVA has resigned; that being said:  I would rather say it's about time for BAC to focus on real issues. Notably the empty b-pier after 13.00h. How many times have I landed in BRU after 1.00 pm to find a real ghost airport. They sh...

 25L is undergoing heavy works and is closed. With that weather, runway 20 is most suitable alternative.
So it meant take off and landing on both 25R and 20.

Re: TAY flight 2801 to Corfu delayed

it's almost daily that TNT has delays, 1-2 hour is normal, so maybe they can do less flights with one aircaft and i don't think it's funny for passengers flying on TNT BAe146 to Djerba via Marseille(fuelstop) and then to Monastir, and the third stop will be your destination, a flight to Djerba take...

Re: The future of Brussels Airlines with Lufthansa

I think you guys have a lot of phantasmal views on this forum. You try to make us think and believe that AA is heavily dependant on SN's feeder ? Well let me tell you it's not the case, at least not to justify AA's withdrawal from the NYC-BRU market. Both ORD and JFK are doing really well especially...

Re: IMPORTANT message: Brussels Airport

Threatening people isn't a solution. or maybe the solution of the weakest. :?: If BAC has an internal communication problem, it's up to them to solve it. As said above we are not in China or North Korea. And as always Luchtzak.be is such an easy target !!! We are living in the Internet era, n...

Re: The future of Brussels Airlines with Lufthansa

Is there not a single LX A332 available anymore? All left or due to leave to SU and VN. It was the most suitable option for SN. They've been waiting much too long IMO. These were good airplanes, with a well known technical history in Belgium and moreover acquiring an airplane from Switzerland hands...

Re: The future of Brussels Airlines with Lufthansa

Knowing all constraints SN has currently in its Flight ops dpt, they will NEVER have the A300-600. Never ! The only alternatives are A330-200. The cross-type rating A32F/330 is blocking all other types. Once that is erased, maybe we could see a few ex-LH 343 come and join the fleet. You can think ab...

Re: Cargo B financial woes ?

Belgian aviation is again walking on its head... There are so many things that go wrong here. I don't think the Japanese will keep paying for two grounded brand new B744F. So that means: THE END. By the way: some ex-b-air who left to go there must be biting their fingers. We all think about t...

Re: Security chaos at Brussels last night

At first, only 2 control lines were opened, then the people of the airport security (so not securitas), called in some of their staff to open an additional line. This ofcourse caused for a lot of disgruntled passengers. Is this the result of all the cost cutting BAC has been doing recently? With th...

Re: Hewa Bora at BRU

RAK Group is already a well known investor in Kinshasa, especially in real estate. Now I'm curious to discover how they will handle luggages/hand luggages on a BRU-KIN-BRU with a 757. HBA is perhaps cheaper than SN, but it wasn't uncommon to receive luggages three days after your arrival at destinat...

Re: SN pilots on strike: 30 April 2009

By calling a strike, aren't the crews and the BeCA cornering themselves into the role of the "bad guys" ? How does LH perceive it, and what will you win AND lose by going on strike ? Well LH has had FOUR strikes :geek: the last 365 days and another one was narrowly avoided again in march....

It's a social action called for by the unions of cockpit crew, but you're definitely welcome to join if you feel like it, it is your company too you know... We're not against any costsavings and we do understand the challenging economic situation worldwide from which SN definitely is not apart, but...

Re: Hewa Bora at BRU

This is just an unacceptable assumption. It's racist and false. I can tell you companies like ET, KQ, Afriqiyah give a hell of concerns to the people of Brussels Airlines. And they are run by "black people". And by the way KQ is the PRIDE of Africa, not the proud (but we say we are PROUD)....

Re: EK growth centered on ME/Africa..

Africa is doing a bit better than other continents... It's "less worse" considering the economic downturn.
Ask AF, BA and LH e.g.
But EK has a niche goldmine market there: the Africa-China market.

Re: Sabena Technics: 371 jobs at risk

I really want to give my full support to the employees of Sabena Technics. Their know-how and multiple skill are part of a certain Belgian "savoir-faire". I've read multiple reports about Qantas having regrets to have outsourced the C & D checks and heavy overhauls in the Far-East (Luf...

Re: Brussels Airlines in the eye of the crisis

SN's loadfactor on the African network has never been as good as it is now. Really impressive. I really don't understand why they didn't expand more rapidly on the long-haul side. They need their own flight to JFK, a new service to BEY as well, and look to send an A332 to NRT as they still have the ...
